Central Accountant
Duration: 11 months

Location: Yaoundé
Contract: Fixed-term contract: 02 months trial  
Under the authority of the Administrative and Financial Director, the Central Accountant will have to perform the following tasks:




Functions and responsibilities:
The Central Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO in all financial and accounting operations, including:
 Ensuring the coordination of financial and accounting information between the cell accountants and the CFO;

 Maintaining the central accounting of the project;
 Centralizing the payroll file;
 Centralizing the global file of salary deductions for all project staff;
 Ensuring compliance with the Organization’s accounting and financial procedures;
 Supporting the CFO in developing budgets;
 Participating in internal and external audit missions;
 Ensuring the daily management of reports with partners (bank, suppliers of goods & services, tax administration, CNPS, etc.);
 Produce the summary of the monthly financial statements of the regional cells;
 Produce the summary of the monthly reports of the regional cells;

 Ensure the coordination of financial and accounting information between the headquarters of the Organization and the regional cells of the project under the supervision of the CFO.




Job profile:  
 Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Management / Accounting / Finance or an equivalent diploma;
 Have at least three years of professional experience in the financial management of projects financed by international donors;
 Experience in the financial management rules and procedures of the Global Fund is an asset;
 Have a good knowledge of IT tools: MS-Word, Excel, Internet etc …
 Mastery of TOM2PRO, SAGE 100 PAIE, SAGE ERPX3 software would be an asset;
 Mastery of French and English.
Skills and abilities: Interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team. The candidate must be able to plan, implement, monitor and advocate for programs and beneficiaries. He/she must have strong time management skills and be able to prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
