01 OPERATIONS AND GENERAL RESOURCES MANAGER
Nature of contract: Permanent
Location: Douala – Cameroon

JOB DUTIES:
The Operations and General Resources Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety of property and
people, organizing the maintenance of the company’s facilities and infrastructure while optimizing
investment costs. He/she sets up a working environment that meets the
needs of his/her employees, in order to ensure the smooth running of the company and the well-being of all.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
SECURITY OF PROPERTY AND PEOPLE IN THE DIFFERENT SITES OF
THE COMPANY
– Ensure the application of hygiene, maintenance and safety rules in compliance with the requirements
of social responsibility and sustainable development;
– Ensure technological and regulatory monitoring of installations and buildings;
– Develop procedures and technical prescription sheets;
– Plan and supervise installation, development, maintenance and
monitoring operations (IT tools, air conditioning, photocopiers, etc.);
– Define and optimize equipment maintenance plans (electrical, HVAC [heating,
ventilation, air conditioning], etc.);
– Check equipment and premises to ensure they comply with current regulations and
guarantee the safety of people and property;
– Schedule and supervise security operations (evacuation drills, fire alarms,
fire training, etc.);
– Check employee authorizations and access rights. MANAGEMENT AND OPTIMAL USE OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND WORK
TOOLS – Prepare the equipment needed to welcome new employees; – Organize and supervise moves, office or workspace layouts, and various events within the company; – Manage the supply and stocks of work tools needed by each employee (furniture, IT equipment, automobiles, fleet, etc.); – Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of premises; – Supervise work and negotiate contracts with service providers; – Ensure the proper adaptation and understanding of technical equipment by users and company departments. – Optimize maintenance costs in compliance with economic ratios; – Collaborate with general management to launch new projects
– Supervise construction work and ensure the delivery of keys on time.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
– Distribute work and set objectives for employees;
– Support employees in carrying out their missions;
– Monitor, record and evaluate employee performance;
– Assess employee skills;
– Coordinate and participate in the implementation of the safety and environmental policy within
the unit;
– Manage the unit’s budget and resources;
– Participate in all other activities at the request of management (seminar,
budget conference, etc.);
– Organize continuity of service in the unit.
PROFILE
Training and Professional Experience:
Academic level: Bac+5 in project management/purchasing/logistics or any other similar diploma
Language level: French (fluent) and English (intermediate)
Professional experience: minimum 05 years of experience in a similar position and have already managed a
team of at least 05 people. Also have proven experience in security management,
infrastructure operation and project management.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
• Knowledge of security standards and facility management;
• Knowledge of project management and construction;
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures, purchasing management, and general services management
;
• Good knowledge of the company’s business development prospects;
• Good command of IT tools and business software;
• Excellent knowledge of all QHSE (quality, health,
safety and environment) standards and procedures;
• Be able to develop and monitor a budget;
• Have skills in risk management and risk identification and assessment techniques
;
• Great aptitude in strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects;
• Good negotiation skills;
• Good adaptability;
• Have team spirit;
• Anticipate and/or demonstrate responsiveness;
• Know how to manage a team.
