General information​​​​​​​

    Made up of a group of Cameroonian shareholders, Africa Global Logistics, CMA CGM and CHEC, the Kribi Conteneurs Terminal consortium is the concessionaire of the container terminal of the deep-water port of Kribi. 
KCT offers the Cameroonian logistics chain a modern infrastructure, adapted to the new generation of transoceanic vessels, including 350-meter quays that can accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 11,000 TEUs. The infrastructure and equipment comply with the highest international standards.
A true gateway to Cameroon and its hinterland countries, such as Chad and the Central African Republic, this new terminal is expected to facilitate the growth of regional trade and accelerate the country’s economic growth. Kribi Conteneurs Terminal also wishes to position itself as a transhipment hub.

Job Description

Mission Description 

– Ensure optimal deployment of equipment and monitoring of terminal operations and achieve maximum productivity at the lowest cost with a constant focus on safety;
– Monitor operations (unloading, loading, transfers, deliveries, receptions) on a daily basis and ensure that work instructions are carried out as planned;
– Ensure that operations comply with established priorities;
– Prevent and manage possible deviations;
– Monitor work in progress and transactions to track waiting, idling or late trucks;
– Use the TOS to identify and avoid potential conflicts and periods of inactivity;
– Communicate, control, direct and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
– Ensure optimal distribution of tasks to yard equipment;
– Guarantee optimal use of equipment and reduce idle times;
– Monitor instructions not covered by yard equipment and organize resources accordingly;
– Communicate essential information to other stakeholders (operators, technicians, OPS supervisor, etc.);
– Communicate and report any points of attention to the supervisor’s schedule;
– Produce various activity and performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly and annual)

Profile 

– Have a higher education degree BAC + 4/5 in Logistics / Maritime / Statistics or Datascientist or any other equivalent specialty diploma;
– Cumulative experience of at least 2 to 3 years in a similar position;
– Cumulative professional experience (5 years);
– Good command of loading and unloading operations;
– Good command of warehousing operations;
– Very good command of ship operations;
– Excellent level of general knowledge and perfect ease with numbers;
– Strong capacity for analysis, anticipation and forecasting;
– Sense of results and internal/external customer satisfaction;
– Leadership and exemplary skills;
– Good listening skills and team spirit;
– Know how to communicate effectively and manage conflicts;
– Self-control and stress management;
– Ability to adapt and reactive;
– High sense of continuous improvement of organizations and development of tools and processes;
– Good sense of stepping back and risk taking;
– Demonstrate good integrity;
– Excellent command of the French language. The practice of the English language would be an asset;
– Mastery of IT tools (Office Pack) and information and communication technologies (internet, messaging, etc.)
