For the Recruitment of Middle Management Agents (AEM)





I. STATUS AND MISSIONS OF BEAC

The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) is the central bank shared by the six (06) member states of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC): the Republic of Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo, the Gabonese Republic, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of Chad.

Its headquarters is located in Yaoundé, Republic of Cameroon.

BEAC’s missions include:

    • Defining and implementing monetary policy within CEMAC;
    • Issuing banknotes and coins that are legal tender in CEMAC;
    • Managing the foreign exchange policy of CEMAC;
    • Holding and managing official foreign exchange reserves of member states;
    • Promoting payment and settlement systems and ensuring their proper functioning;
    • Promoting financial stability in CEMAC.




BEAC is organizing a recruitment competition for 157 Middle Management Agents (AEM) with a Bac/Advanced Level+2/3 level (HND/BTS, DUT, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent) across various fields listed below for all its centers.


II. GENERAL CONDITIONS

This competition is open exclusively to nationals of CEMAC member states (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Chad), aged 35 years or younger at the time of application.

Candidates must enjoy their civil rights and have no criminal convictions for serious or dishonorable offenses.

BEAC employees meeting the educational requirements and possessing exemplary disciplinary records are eligible to apply, with no age or seniority restrictions.

Recruited candidates may be assigned, as needed, to:

  • BEAC Central Services in Yaoundé;
  • National Directorates and Agencies in the six (06) CEMAC member states;
  • The General Secretariat of COBAC in Libreville;
  • BEAC’s Office in Paris.

Candidates definitively admitted must complete a 3-month paid probationary internship and, if applicable, a cumulative probationary period not exceeding six months.

A medical certificate attesting fitness for banking roles will be required for candidates eligible for oral exams.

III. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

The application dossier, scanned in PDF format, must include:

  1. A motivation letter;
  2. A detailed, updated CV including employment certificates or attestations (if applicable);
  3. Copy of National ID Card, valid receipt, or passport;
  4. Criminal record certificate (issued within the last 3 months);
  5. Certified copies of diplomas and certificates.

Important:

  • The application subject line must specify the chosen position. Only one position per application is allowed.
  • The candidate’s name in the motivation letter and CV must match the order on their ID.
  • Applications failing to meet these criteria will be automatically rejected.

IV. COMPETITION STRUCTURE

Selected candidates will undergo:

  • Written exams (common and specialized);
  • Oral and psychotechnical tests (for eligible candidates).

Written exams will be held in the capitals of the six (06) CEMAC member states.
Oral exams and psychotechnical tests will take place in Yaoundé and potentially in other member states’ capitals.

Exam details will be specified in the invitation letter.

Language options for exams: English, French, Spanish, or Arabic. The chosen language must be indicated during online application submission.
