Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of network and information system department’s activities related to regulatory and ensure that all associated administration is carried out effectively.
  • Collect network statistics to finalize annual/ quarterly/ monthly reports or any other required reports to provide to regulatory bodies and government departments
  • Provide guidance related to regulatory technical requirements to different company units and regulatory team members, on the effective implementation of the required laws and regulations so that network compliance is evident.
  • Interact with external /third parties (if required) such as other mobile operators, regulators and other public organs for all matters related to electronics communications regulations with respect to the Network Group and Information System’s requirements
  • Assist the Regulatory Technical Manager with type approval inspections: Ensure that any infrastructure built or integrated in the network comply with regulatory and legal requirements agreements
  • Reporting on frequencies use, interurban links and any other NW or IS event to prevent penalties
  • Collate, compile and prepare required reports (activity and weekly reports) and regulatory submissions for consultations
  • Submit reports and recommendations as required to Regulatory Technical Manager
  • Regulatory Compliance and Strategy: Monitor and analyze telecom regulations, proposing strategies to navigate economic and service-related compliance requirements
  • Service Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with service quality standards defined by regulatory bodies, managing internal processes to meet or exceed these standards
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analysis to evaluate investments in new services or infrastructure, aligning them with regulatory requirements and economic sustainability
  • Policy Landscape Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of the regulatory and policy landscape, identifying emerging trends, regulatory changes, and potential opportunities or threats
  • Government Relations Management: Manage relationships with government officials, regulatory authorities, and policymakers, advocating for policies that promote a competitive and innovative telco sector
  • Legislative and Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, suggest proactive responses to potential policy changes

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years University degree or equivalent in electronic communications, information technology or computer science.
  • Bilingual (French & English) BA

 

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in telecoms environment

About the Team
