Join us! !The Association Camerounaise pour le Marketing Social (ACMS) is looking for candidates in the Clinical Nurses (M/F) to provide services in the PEPFAR supported sites in the Adamaoua and the North regions
What do we recruiting ?
The Clinical Nurse will work closely with the site ART clinic coordinator and the unit head to support the delivery of high-quality comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment services at site and community levels and reduce health disparities across the clinical cascade for all target populations and vulnerable groups. This role will be responsible for the coordination, mentorship, and supervision of the site team for the implementation of project activities across the clinical cascade while providing nursing and medical care as appropriate to ensure an optimized care continuum for patients. They will work in partnership with to Clinical Specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the ART clinic in the provision of clinical holistic services to clients to guarantee service uptake and retention.
Mentor the site team in the implementation of healthy patient literacy and communication strategies in the delivery of HIV services.
Mentor the site staff in the provision of quality HIV services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in alignment with the national HIV/AIDS Care and Management Guidelines.
Build the capacity of APS (Psychosocial Agents) and other clinical staff on HIV Prevention, Care, and treatment services particularly, HIV testing and linkage services, PMTCT and Early Infant Diagnosis, HIV Prevention in general, and key populations, TB/HIV coinfection, Retention in Care services, Viral load monitoring and management, etc.
Support and mentor healthcare workers in providing therapeutic education to patients.
Identify training needs and facilitate the training of site staff on various program arms in accordant to need.
Conduct regular post-training assessments for staff and give them constructive feedback, in terms of gaps and improvement in performances.
Develop and implement a mentorship plan for site staff on clinical activities across the clinical cascades.
Mentor and supervise site staff in proper documentation of clinical services offered to clients in appropriate source documents.
Act as a liaison between APSCA, health facility, and health district team on service delivery and coordinator matters as well as stakeholder and third-party engagement.
In collaboration with the ART clinic coordinator, unit head, and M&E Assistant, facilitate the implementation of the handshake model with KP, OVC, and other third-party partners working with the facilities.
Lead the institutionalization and implementation of data review and validation meetings, coordination meetings, QI meetings, and other site-specific meetings to review site data/achievement, and identify and address programmatic gaps.
Ensure that the assigned targets of the sites for program indicators are disaggregated and shared among site staff in relation to their program deliverables.
Lead the establishment and functionality of the CQI team and committee at the supported site.
Mentor and support the site staff in the implementation of CQI principles and practices.
Lead the identification and implementation of quality improvement projects at the support site.
Ensure assigned targets relating to HIV care at the facility are met, through the implementation of all recommended strategies, and activities of the project.
Participate in site monthly DQA, program routine quarterly DQA, and Site Improvement Through Monitoring Systems (SIMS) activities at assigned sites and lead the implementation of recommendations from these activities.
Ensure the availability of equipment, materials, and other resources needed for the timely implementation of project activities and monitoring of project achievements.
Work with the ART clinic unit head and M&E Assistant to determine and request the cash needed for routine site activities, follow up on the expenses, and justification of the cash received as well as the reconciliation of the advance received on a monthly basis.
Maintain confidentiality of patient and program information for the supported site
Qualifications and skills required:
Registered Nurse, Midwife, HIV Nurse Prescriber (HNP), and other related training in the field of science or social science.
A Master’s Degree in public health will be an added advantage
Be a registered member of the Cameroon Nursing Association or other national regulatory bodies.
Minimum of 03 years working experience providing HIV Care, Treatment, and management services.
Have the ability to interact with persons from a variety of professional disciplines and different levels of society in a tactful, diplomatic, and culturally appropriate manner.
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, excel, access, and PowerPoint
Capable of carrying on multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Fluent in French and English languages. Understanding of the Fulbe language will be and added advantage
