Specific context of the Business Line / Region
Within the Business Line Project Planning, Operations and Services (BL MENS), we contribute to the development and strengthening of transport routes as vital connections between people and territories.
Some examples of projects? A63 motorway (France), M25 and M40 (UK), Dublin tunnel (Ireland), WestConnex M4 and M5 (Australia), Golfo Centro (Mexico), RN1 in Congo-Brazzaville; GoSafe (Ireland); on-street parking in Amsterdam and Paris; ZFE Manchester; services to road users.
JOB BRIEF
The project concerns the financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance of 14 toll booths spread over Cameroonian territory as part of a Public-Private Partnership contract.
Within the project, Egis participates in the Design-Build Group and is in charge of Fixed Operating Equipment (EFE). EFEs mainly include toll systems and equipment.
MISSION
The main mission of the EFE site manager will be to ensure the monitoring and management of EFE activities on site in coordination with the EFE project management. He is Egis’ on-site representative for EFEs.
ACTIVITIES
Its main activities will include:
Management and coordination of EFE equipment installation site activities
- Prerequisite work for the installation of EFEs carried out by the manufacturer (civil, electrical and telecom interfaces)
- Monitoring the transport and routing of equipment to sites
- Installation work of EFEs carried out by EFE subcontractors

Management and coordination of activities for the reception and commissioning of EFEs:
- Site Trials
- Operator training
- Commissioning
- Documentation (collation file, recipe books, receipt report,…)
- Follow-up to the Lifting of Reservations
Management and coordination of EFE subcontractors on site
Planning monitoring, risk management and reporting of EFE activities on site
Coordination with third parties:
- Other on-site project entities: manufacturer partner, operating company, concession company,…
- Public and administrative authorities (customs, project control authorities,…)
- Coordination with the EFE project management located in France
PROFILE
- Higher education, you have at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of the African continent as well as professional experience on the African continent, ideally in the countries of the CEMAC zone are essential for the position.
Technical skills:
- Initial training as a general engineer or in the fields of electronics/electricity/telecom/IT or civil engineering
- Significant experience on motorway construction projects and/or good technical knowledge in the field of EFE (Fixed Operating Equipment) such as toll equipment, traffic, ITS, telecommunications, IT, electro-mechanical.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Microsoft Project Planning Tool
Other skills:
- Experience and knowledge of project management
- Autonomy, initiative, rigour, will
- Site meeting animation
- Team spirit
- Fluency in French will be essential to carry out this mission.
- Fluency in English will be a real advantage to allow career development within the Egis group.
