Functional Area: Supply Chain

Reports to: Logistic Officer – Maroua

Location: Maroua, Mokolo, Mora and Kousseri

Effective Date: January 1, 2023

Purpose:  How does this position support Plan International’s strategy and mission?

Responsible for the conduct of Plan International personnel and assets in and outside the Far North region as appropriate, for the implementation of activities contributing to the achievement of the objectives of the Country Strategy (CS) .

ROLE DIMENSIONS:

Main roles and responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Logistic Officer of Maroua, the recruited driver will have to:

 



Ensure the transport of the personnel and the goods of Plan International
Carry out the internal races.
Distribute external mail.
Provide daily vehicle maintenance.
Supervise vehicle repairs.
Ensure technical monitoring of oil change, technical visit and renewal of vehicle insurance deadlines.
Complete vehicle logbooks.
Keeping the vehicle’s dashboard up to date.

Job requirements
Have at least a BEPC or a CAP;
Hold a valid category D driving licence;
Have at least five (5) years of driving experience;
Have a perfect knowledge of the roads of the Far North region;
Experience working with humanitarian NGOs would be an advantage;
Have basic skills in automotive mechanics (they will be tested)
Have a good knowledge of the highway code;
Demonstrate politeness and professionalism.
