RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities
Works in accordance with NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
Assists and contributes to the implementation of the project in accordance with the action plan
Writes regular reports on the progress of program activities or at the request of the supervisor or management.
Ensures proper archiving of documents.
Encourages and is force of proposal to promote the improvement of the project
Specific responsibilities
Implementation of the activities defined by the ICLA strategy;
Listens to the beneficiaries, identifies the needs and facilitates the obtaining of solutions or directs the stakeholders;
Participates in the design and improvement of ICLA tools;
Develops and conducts training with NRC teams and other partners on the topics of civil documentation, Housing, Land and Property, including Collaborative Conflict Management;
Contributes to the training of local leaders or opinion leaders (teachers, religious leaders, young people, members of protection committees) on various themes relating to protection;
Complete and analyze listening sheets and protection needs assessment sheets at all phases of the implementation of ICLA projects;
Maintains records for reporting, produces relevant reports and performs any other related task requested by the hierarchy when writing proposals, defining indicators and developing program activities;
Participates in meetings, sector groups, seminars and training workshops (internal or external) and contributes to the capacity building of all NRC staff and partner teams in protection.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Professional
skills General professional skills:
Minimum 2 years professional experience as a Project Assistant in a humanitarian/recovery context.
Previous professional experience of at least 2 years in supporting communities in the areas of Civil Status and Land Law
Proven results on the responsibilities of the position.
English an asset.
Context-specific skills, knowledge and experience:
Have a university degree (Bac +3) in law, social sciences
Experience in identity documentation, land rights and Collaborative Conflict Management
Good knowledge of local languages spoken in the Far North
Be able to work in a team and in a heterogeneous and international environment
Affordable, reliable and respectful of confidentiality
Proven presentation and training skills
Computer proficiency (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

– Contract duration: CDD 03 months (Duration of maternity leave)
– Place of work: Kousseri with 70% travel in the field
