Recruitment notice: Consultant-trainer, GC7 process

For the recruitment of a consultant-trainer responsible for leading a civil society training webinar on the costing of malaria control activities in the GC7 process. 

 

 

 




 

  1.  Background         

Impact Santé Afrique (ISA ) is an African NGO based in Cameroon whose main objective is to contribute to the improvement of people’s health by implementing transformative and sustainable programs that will save lives and improve the health of our communities. (For more information, visit www.impactsante.org and contact us at the following address: contact@impactsante.org )

Impact Santé Afrique (ISA ) coordinates the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Platform for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME).

Since January 2023, CS4ME has been implementing a Technical Assistance project, aimed at supporting the significant commitment of people affected by malaria in 09 African countries: Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Niger, Nigeria, DRC, Senegal.

As part of this project, ISA intends to strengthen the capacities of CSOs in the costing of malaria control activities in the Grant Cycle 7 (GC7) process, formerly NFM4. It is with this in mind that we are looking for a ConsultantTrainer.

 

 




 

 

Goals

The main objective of this service is to train CSOs in the tool for costing activities to fight against the 03 diseases, developed for the Global Fund. This training will be done as part of a webinar in French.

 

Specifically, it will be about:

▪  propose a methodology for training,

▪  propose themes and training modules for CSOs on the tool,

▪  propose a rapid evaluation of the training,

▪  develop a PowerPoint presentation of the training,

▪  participate as a trainer in the webinar organized by ISA.

 

 

 

 

  1. Functions and responsibilities of the consultant-trainer

Placed under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Impact Santé Afrique (ISA), and working in collaboration with the Senior Civil Society Engagement Officer, the consultant will carry out the following tasks:

  • Participation in working meetings with the ISA team, CS4ME secretariat;
  • Elaboration of all the elements necessary for the training for the capacity building of CSOs;
  • Participation in the review and validation of the elements developed for the training;
  • Online CSO training;
  • Drafting and presentation of the results and the overall report of the training (procedure, inventory, assessment of CSOs, recommendations).

Main expected deliverables :

  1. A PowerPoint presentation of the training is developed, reviewed and validated;
  2. CSO members of CS4ME are trained in the tool for costing activities to fight against the three diseases;
  3. An end of mission report is drafted and submitted to the NGO ISA.

 

  1. Period of the expert mission

This consultation mission will take place from Monday March 6 to Friday March 10, 2023 .

 

  1. Candidate profile

The desired expertise will relate to the recruitment of a consultant-trainer whose qualifications and skills are presented as follows:   

o     Diploma in one or more of the following fields: Master’s degree in Project Management, Public Health/Community Health, Social Sciences, Development Sciences or equivalent specialization;

o     Proven experience in budgeting health activities; o Experience in capacity building of civil society; o Familiarity with Global Fund processes; o Experience in facilitating workshops and coordinating multi-sectoral partners in the field of health, leadership qualities and skills in facilitating consensus;    

o     Good writing, analysis and synthesis skills; o Familiarity with remotemeeting and conferencing applications

–        A dated and signed CV, including 3 professional references;

–        A technical sheet presenting the methodology used and the chronogram of the activities (2 pages maximum);

–        A financial offer (1 page maximum).

 

  1. Evaluation of offers  

The evaluation of the offers received will be based in particular on the following criteria:

(i)     The candidate’s experience in carrying out assignments similar to those specified in these terms of reference;

(ii)   Understanding the expectations of the mission and the proposed intervention methodology;

(iii)  The proposed financial offer.
