IP Network Engineer – (23000007)

Description

Missions & main activities

Develop the network to meet the needs for new services and the quality of service requirements to be offered to subscribers

Monitor the evolution and implementation of standards

Technical evaluation of new products

Develop network and service development prospects

Contribute to the development and updating of the strategic plan of the network in his field

Contribute to the development and monitoring of the execution of the budget, by producing specifications, carrying out supplier consultations, monitoring the execution of orders.

Maintain network reference documentation

Produce and update engineering documentation in its field of activity. (Inventory, Architectures, High/Low level design…)

Manage all activities relating to the life of the network

Follow the software and hardware roadmaps of system equipment

Ensure the planning and sizing of the network in the short, long and medium term (From 1 to 10 years)

Ensure network optimization by configuring equipment in accordance with engineering rules and traffic demand

Control the use of network resources

Track IP addressing, VLAN ID allocation, Route Target, Route Distinguisher, AS Numbers, pre-wiring, network interfaces…

Track the capacities of network assets to respond to surges in traffic.

Track capacities and QOS

Carry out technological and competitive intelligence

Actively participate in workshops / webinars organized by manufacturers in their field of activity

Provide support to the company’s entities in the context of cross-functional projects related to its area of ​​​​responsibility

Roll out new systems and services

Meet the regulatory obligations of the domain

Improve relations with regulators (National Agency for Information and Communication Technology, Telecommunications Regulatory Agency, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Cameroon Internet Exchange Point) in its field of activity

Qualifications

Training: Engineer Bac+5 telecoms or computer networks

Experience: At least 03 years in the operation / Design of IP networks

Main location: CM-Littoral
