Focus on our activities in CAMEROON

Our mission in Cameroon has existed since 2008. PUI is developing its integrated approach there with the sectors of food security and access to drinking water, hygiene and sanitation. In addition, PUI is working on the Rapid Response Mechanism to deal with the influx of refugees. Today, the mission has 3 projects.

 

 

 

And the Logistics Coordinator – Cameroon in all this?

As Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the implementation of a logistics framework adapted and organized around an efficient supply chain, properly sized support logistics. You will be the guarantor of the application and compliance with policies, rules, procedures and good logistics practices on the bases and in the capital.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

Supply chain: You will actively contribute to the implementation and coordination of the supply strategy for the mission. You will ensure that the administrative and operational components of the supply chain are in place and functional. You will guarantee compliance with procedures, policies and processes related to the purchasing, transport and warehousing functions. You will ensure that close links are forged with headquarters to avoid delays, losses, breaks in the headquarters – field supply chain.

Support logistics: You will ensure that the teams are provided with the means, resources and tools they need to carry out their activities. You will actively contribute to the dimensioning of the mission in terms of buildings, materials, equipment, services allowing the proper functioning of the bases.

Security: You will ensure the existence of the means and frameworks necessary for the application of the rules in connection with communications, travel and building management.

Team management: You will be responsible for the HR sizing of the logistics department and the validation of the job profiles of the team members. You will directly manage the employees who depend on you hierarchically in accordance with HR policies and procedures from recruitment to performance evaluations.

Strategy: You will adopt a proactive approach and follow the logistics strategy of the mission, in connection with the supply chain, the support logistics in close connection with the headquarters and the coordination team.

Coordination: You will centralize and disseminate logistical information within the mission and towards headquarters. You will consolidate internal and external reporting in this area.

Representation: You will represent the association in forums, with partners, authorities and various local actors involved in the areas of logistics.

1°/ Accompany the new Logistics team at the Bafoussam base (base opening) 2°/ Accompany the new logistician at the Kousseri base

What it will take to succeed

  • Training: You can justify a higher diploma (Bac + 2 to Bac + 5) in the logistics sector (purchasing, transport etc.).
  • Experience: You have at least two years of professional experience in the logistics sector and one year of experience in international solidarity or a fortiori abroad. Do you have experience in security management? It will be greatly appreciated. Have you ever worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
  • Skills: You know inventory procedures, vehicle fleet management, telecommunications, as well as institutional donor procedures (OFDA, ECHO, AAP, UN agencies, etc.), and demonstrate good writing skills. The mastery of computer techniques of communication, energy, electricity will be appreciated.
  • Required qualities: You are able to work independently and take responsibility in a proactive approach, with good priority management. You know how to delegate and supervise the work of a multidisciplinary team, have a good capacity for analysis, discernment, and a sense of negotiation. You demonstrate adaptability, reliability, rigor, and good resistance to stress.
  • Languages: French and English hold no secrets for you? Good, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, this will be an undeniable asset.

  • Status: Executive on a Fixed-Term Contract
  • Gross monthly salary: 2,650.00 – 3,130.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + €50 per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and complementary health cover, 24-hour assistance, repatriation and provident insurance
  • Accommodation in collective house
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Breaks scheme: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission
  • Paid Leave Scheme: 5 weeks of CP/year + return plane ticket at home every 6 months
