Opening the entrance examination to the Professional License cycle in Guide
National Tourism, in Management of Tourism and Hotel Companies and in
Tourism Development and Planning of the Territories of the Department of Tourism and
Hospitality of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences (FALSH) of the University of
Yaoundé I, for the academic year 2023-2024.
THE MINISTER OF STATE, MINISTER OF HIGHER EDUCATION
Having regard to the Constitution;
Considering the Law n° 200 l/005 of I April 6, 2001 bearing orientation of the Higher Education;
Considering Decree No. 2018/190 of March 2, 2018 amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No.
20 1 l /408 of 09 December 201 l on the organization of the Government
Considering Decree No. 2011/410 of December 9, 2011 on the formation of the Government;
Considering Decree 11°2019/002 of January 04, 2019 on the reorganization of the Government;
Mindful of Decree No. 93/026 of January 19 establishing Universities;
Having regard to Decree No. 2005/342 of September 10, 2005 amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree
No. 93/027 of January 19, 1993 laying down provisions common to universities
Mindful of Decree No. 93/035 of January 19, 1993 on the special status of Higher Education personnel;
Mindful of Decree No. 2012/433 of October 1, 2012 on the organization of the Ministry of Higher Education;
Having regard to Decree 11°2015/398 of September 15, 2015 appointing Rectors in certain Universities
of state;
Mindful of Decree No. 2018/074 of January 29, 2018 appointing officials in certain Universities
of state;
Having regard to Decision No. 18230069/MINESUP/SG/DAUQ/SDEAC of April 11, 2023 setting the timetable for
competitive entrance examination to the Establishments of the State Universities of Cameroon and Schools under supervision
academic year of MINESUP, for the academic year 2023-2024
On the proposal of the Rector of the University of Yaoundé 1;
DECIDED:
Article 1: A competition based on written and oral tests for entry to the License Cycle
Professional in National Tourist Guide, in Management of Tourist Companies
and Hotels and Tourism Development and Planning of the Territories of
Department of Tourism and Hospitality of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences
(FALSH) of the University of Yaoundé 1, for the academic year 2023-2024 is open
at the single center of Yaoundé, July 24, 2023 for the written tests and September 7
2023 for the oral tests.
The number of places offered is specified as follows:
National Tourist Guide: 10 places;
Management of Tourism and Hotel Companies: 30 places;
Development and Tourist Planning of the Territories: 10 places.
Article 2: Conditions to be fulfilled
Can apply:
1- Cameroonians of both sexes with a good knowledge of French and
of English and holders either of a DEUG in human sciences (Anthropology,
Archaeology, Geography, History, Art History, Sociology, etc.) or in
languages (German, English, Spanish, French, etc.) for specializations
National Tourist Guide and Tourist Development and Planning
Territories; either a BTS or a DEUG in Hospitality, Catering,
Tourism, Economics, Administration, Management, Marketing, etc.),
for the Management of Tourism and Hotel Companies specialization,
as well as any other diploma recognized as equivalent by the Minister of
Higher Education.
2- Foreigners fulfilling the academic conditions required to
admission to the Cycle of Professional License of Tourism and Hospitality of
1 University of Yaoundé 1.
Article 3: Application files
Complete application files must be submitted to the school office of the
Faculty of Arts, Letters and Human Sciences (FALSH) of the University of Yaoundé 1, in
no later than July 21, 2023. They must include the following documents
one (01) individual application form to be collected from the school office of the
FALSH or from the MINESUP website whose address is http:
www.mmnesup.gov.com;
one (01) handwritten and stamped application form;
one (01) certified copy of the required diplomas dating back at least 3 months or
a certified true copy of the level or equivalence certificate issued by
the Minister of Higher Education;
one (01) legalized birth certificate extract dated less than 3 months;
one (01) certificate of presentation of the originals of the required diplomas;
transcripts of grades for the 1″ and Q””> years of higher education certified by
the headteacher;
one (01) school certificate or a certificate from the employer;
one (01) medical certificate;
two (02) identity photos in 4 x 4 format (affix one on the first page of the file
application form and write surname and first name on the back of the other);
one (01) large envelope stamped at the regulatory rate and bearing the address of the
candidate;
the receipt for payment of a sum of twenty thousand (20,000) FCFA, as
registration fees for the competition, issued by the competent departments of the FALSH.
Registration fees are not refundable.
Article 4: Events
The competition includes the following tests:
1. general culture (duration: 2 hours, coefficient: 2)
2. English (duration: 2 hours, coefficient: 2)
3. French (duration: 2 hours, coefficient: 2) /)
4. an oral test (coefficient: 4) following the written tests.
Article 5: Admission
1. Candidates are admitted to the Tourism Professional License cycle and
Hotels within the limits of the places offered in the competition, provided that they have
obtained a general average, at least equal, to 10/20;
2. The final results are published by the Minister of Higher Education
on the proposal of an admissions jury, the composition of which is determined in accordance
to the regulations in force.
Article 6: the Rector of the University of Yaoundé I, the Director of Accreditations
Academics and Quality, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Sciences
(FALSH) of the University of Yaoundé I are each responsible for
of the execution of this decision which will be recorded and published wherever necessary.
