Recruitment notice: Experienced DRIVER at The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation

The Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation’s mission is to catalyze Africa’s economic transformation by focusing on social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health and the implementation of progressive policies that together create economic opportunity for all.

The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is looking to recruit an experienced Driver to support the team. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and reliable individual who understands the rules of the road, practices self-discipline and is cautious at all times. This person should have experience working in an office environment and providing support to staff, executives and senior managers.

 




 

Responsibilities
As a driver,

Transport of personnel for professional missions;
Perform vehicle maintenance checks;
Pick up office purchases or other administrative needs;
Maintain an organized travel schedule;
Ensure vehicles have enough fuel and are always ready for use;
Arrange vehicle repairs if necessary;
Ensures availability of all required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, first aid kit, necessary spare parts, and others;
Performs other related duties as assigned;

Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Five (5) or more years of experience in a business.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Excellent time management skills
Ability to function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite or similar software
BC driving license category
Must be familiar with all the road and signage in Cameroon
Must be able to speak English and French
Drinking alcohol during working hours is prohibited Smoking is prohibited
inside the car

 

 

Must be punctual and abide by the rules and regulations of the foundation
It is forbidden to sleep inside the car during working hours
Must be physically and mentally fit
Must dress properly during working hours
Must be able to drive manual and automatic cars
