telecom services to individuals, businesses, and communities. We are seeking motivated and skilled
Junior Account Managers to join our team in Douala and play a key role with our customers.
Job Summary: As an Account Manager at UBTS, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing
client accounts, ensuring customer satisfacion, and driving revenue growth through upselling and crossselling opportunties. You will be the primary point of contact for our customers, handling inquiries,
resolving issues, and providing exceptional support throughout their journey with us. Candidates must
hold a degree, be fresh-out of university or with a maximum of 3 years of experience in a similar field.
Responsibilities:
1. New Clients Acquisition & Accounts Expansion: Find and persuade new customers to subscribe
to UBTS Broadband Internet Services. Identify opportunities to sell, upsell and cross-sell products
and services to new and existing customers, maximizing revenue potential.
2. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
by regularly engaging with them via phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Understand
their requirements, address concerns, and act as a reliable point of contact for all maƩers.
3. Customer Support: Provide prompt and efficient support to customers, addressing technical
issues, billing inquiries, and service-related questions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure
timely resolution of customer concerns.
4. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in
the broadband internet and telecom services sector. Utilize this knowledge to provide valuable
insights and position UBTS as an industry leader.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing & Technical teams to create customized account
plans, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach to customer acquisition and retention.
6. Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales
activities, and account status using CRM soŌware. Provide regular reports and performance
metrics to the management team.
7. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from customers regarding their experiences with our
services, seeking opportunities for improvement and incorporating customer input into the
company’s continuous improvement process.
Requirements:
Commerce, Business Mgt, Engineering School in Sales, IT, Electronic, Marketing, etc.
Strong understanding of broadband internet and telecommunication technologies.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Bilingual English & French
Ability to build & maintain relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction & loyalty.
Results-oriented and ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills & ability to handle multiple accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
0 to 3 years working in a startup environment, with adaptability & proactive approach.
Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in broadband internet & telecom.
Technical knowledge related to networking, routers, and telecommunications equipment.
An experience as Account Manager or similar customer-facing role & industry will be a plus.
