TOURIST DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION MANAGER

  GENERAL MISSION
Under the authority of the Director of ORTOC, the Tourism Development and Innovation Manager (RDTI) is in charge of tourism development and innovation in the West region

ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
Within the framework of a defined budget, he is responsible for the development of tourist activity in the territory.
With a creative, reactive, permanently open mind, he (she) captures both the new expectations of customers and the potential of the territory to adapt to this constantly renewed demand.
Its mission is to innovate in order to allow the territory to be constantly desirable in the eyes of existing or potential customers who will find reasons to come and return to the West East, particularly in charge
of the maturation of ideas and projects, during assembly project files, seeking funding and monitoring the implementation of projects
Is a source of proposals for management in terms of improving the existing tourist offer and developing new sites, cultural enhancement , museums, innovation and the rise in quality of craftsmanship…
Works in collaboration with all the ORTOC teams in synergy with the service providers in the territory,
Accompanies the promoters of tourist projects wishing to invest in the territory
From identity audits, diagnoses of the existing, he (or she) coordinates the updating of the regional plan of heritage and tourist development accompanied by project files.

NB: At the request of the Director of ORTOC, the Tourism Development and Innovation Manager may be required to carry out activities not provided for in this job description. These may be the activities of ORTOC or its partners
  Diploma/Training required / Experience  
– Hold a Master 2 in tourism development and planning of the territory or equivalent diploma
– Justify at least 5 years of experience in the tourist development of the territory or in similar professions
SKILLS – REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE – KNOW-HOW  
Mastery of the problems of the tourism sector
Sense of innovation
Ability to animate the games of actors around territorial development issues
Knowledge and good experience of calls for projects
Sense of development planning in the short, medium and long term
Ability to develop business plans, to set up multi-actor financing plans
Very good knowledge of the offer tourism in Cameroon and the Western region
Creativity, responsiveness, rigor
Ability to work in a team

Knowledge of the professional environment and good interpersonal skills
Mastery of computer tools
Sense of organization and rigor
