  1. Missions Midwife/Midwife State Qualified SF300-DSS-CMC NDR

As a State -certified Midwife at CMC NDR, you will ensure complete monitoring of pregnancies, at all stages. your missions will be as follows:

 




 

  • Ensure medical monitoring of pregnant women and monitor the smooth progress of the pregnancy through prenatal medical examinations, scheduled regularly until the birth of the child;
  • Lead childbirth preparation sessions;
  • Provide preventive advisors and educate  the future mother on postnatal care, breastfeeding or baby hygiene.
  • Carry out deliveries, most of the time alone; carefully monitor the progress of “labor” from start to finish and call the obstetrician-gynecologist or surgeon in the event of risks or complications.
  • Examine the newborn immediately after birth, checking reflexes and monitoring health. In the few days following delivery,
  • Ensure medical follow-up by transmitting information to the team and in each woman’s file.
  •   Ensure medical monitoring of the infant and also monitor the health of the mother and her good recovery In the few days following delivery.
  • Organize, supervise and lead prevention and education actions for mothers and children (PMI).
  • Supervise and train other healthcare personnel (nurses and trainees)
  • Learn about and train on new practices in Midwifery

 

 

 

  1. State-certified midwife/midwife profile SF300-DSS-CMC NDR

                 The profile sought is the following

 

  • You hold a state-certified midwifery diploma  or any other equivalent diploma;
  • You have worked as a midwife or midwife for at least 3 years in a recognized medical center.
  • You are aged 45 or less on December 31, 2023
  • You are dynamic and proactive

v   Medical and health skills 

 

 

 

  • Prepare the woman for delivery and monitor fetal heart rate, cervical dilation, clinical status, etc.
  • Carry out the delivery or provide technical support to the obstetrician.
  • Perform postpartum care and birth examination of the newborn.
  • Advise the mother on the first maternal gestures.
  • Inform and advise women in specific situations.
  • Monitor an infant’s health and development and intervene if necessary.
  • Lead childbirth or parenthood preparation sessions.
  • Ensure gynecological monitoring of women of all ages, excluding pregnancy.
  • Prescribe contraception.
  • Carry out medical examinations (obstetric ultrasound, biological samples, blood tests, smears, etc.).

v   Administrative technical skills

  • Mastery of basic office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
  • Able to use E-Mails; the Vision Conference; social networks and most NICTs;
  • Good writing and synthesis skills;
  • Know how to prepare and present reports and/or results, in writing and/or in public.
  • Teaching skills and session facilitator.

  • Position reference: SF300-DSS-CMC NDR;
  • Job Title: State-certified midwife/midwife;
  • Job classification: Supervisor;
  • Salary: to be negotiated;
  • Hierarchical reporting: Head of Department. Nursing Services;
  • Probation period: 03 months, renewable once;
  • Type of employment contract: One-year fixed-term contract, renewable once and potentially    leading to a permanent contract;
  • Working hours: full-time (48 hours per week);
  • Location of the position: CMC NDR locality Carrefour des Simbock sisters Yaoundé Cameroon.
  • Start date October 30, 2023.
