RECRUITMENT: INTERNAL & EXTERNAL – PAN-AFRICAN SAVINGS & LOANS: ONE (01) Accounting and Financial Director

PAN-AFRICAN SAVINGS & LOANS is recruiting for the needs of its services, ONE (01) Accounting and Financial Director who can practice throughout the national territory.

This position is based in Douala.

I. OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

Ensure the smooth running of financial management, accounting operations, cash management and all operations related to taxation by ensuring compliance with the legislation in force.

II. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 Defines and implements the financial policy of the institution;
 Develops and monitors the implementation of the institution’s budget while ensuring management control, analysis of accounts and compliance with ratios and prudential standards;
 Designs and improves policies, procedures and tools to secure the institution’s financial assets;
 Prepares the financial and accounting statements of the institution;
 Executes CEMAC-COBAC Reportings;
 Ensures the timely production and liquidation of tax and social security declarations;
 Ensures rational cash management; implement the placement policy and monitor the institution’s employment/resource management;
 Supervises the accounting teams in compliance with deadlines and procedures
 Develops economic and financial statistics resulting from the use of financial and accounting data received from the institution’s agencies;

 Implements an adequate reporting system to respond effectively to requests for information from the institution’s partners.
 Performs all other professional tasks entrusted, in relation to the position, by the hierarchy in accordance with the Code of Ethics and the Internal Regulations.
 Develops and ensures the effective implementation of the PCEMF and the Group Reporting post codes in the operating system
 Development of the chart of accounts, accounting schemes for new products
 Coordination and supervision of the process of closing the accounts of the bank (Monthly, Semi-annual, Annual)
 Develops and supervises all Reporting (Group)
 Operational animation of all the Department’s activities
 Train and guide the Department’s assistants under his responsibility so as to enable them to work in complete autonomy;

IV. JOB PROFILE
Experience  5 years’ experience in banking finance or in a similar position.
 Technical, personal and managerial qualities and good experience in banking and reporting activities.
 Very good command of regulatory reporting.
 Mastery of banking regulations in the CEMAC zone.
 Very good command of IT tools (Microsoft Office),
 Mastery of the SAP Reporting Module, and of Reporting in a Banking Group
Education
• Have a Bac+4 or Bac+5 training in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Banking ,
• Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
