CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF SOCIAL WORKER

As part of the implementation of the project entitled “PREVENTION AND RESPONSE TO GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE (GBV) AND SEXUAL AND
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH (SRH) IN UNDER-SERVED AREAS OF THE FAR-
NORTH REGION- BHA” with technical support and financial institution of UNFPA,
the NGO ALDEPA is launching a call for applications for the recruitment of eight (08) Social Workers who will be able to facilitate the implementation of the said project in the health districts of Koza, Mozogo, Moulvoudaye and Guidiguis.
The social worker will reside in his or her place of assignment to carry out the following responsibilities.
Prepare the work sessions on the basis of the modules and themes defined and on the basis of the work program developed by the coordination

 

 




 

Organize and lead awareness sessions on project themes;
Hold group and individual interviews with survivors of GBV Train community leaders and teachers in the diagnosis of victims of GBV, psychological first aid and referral of cases to the counseling network or to clinical service providers ,
Lead community mobilization activities for the prevention and response to gender-based violence (GBV) and boost demand for sexual and reproductive health services.
Support the facilitation of Safe Spaces for women and girls, including support to the team of community facilitators to carry out planned activities with women, girls and communities and ensure their full involvement in the development of activities
Organize group and individual therapy sessions with survivors of GBV and people with specific needs related to the areas of the project;
Organize socio-cultural activities (dance, theater, music) with the support of community structures;
Train vulnerable women and young people receiving start-up capital on the management of IGAs Do the referencing
Attend office meetings and activities that the project organizes for both GBV survivors and other stakeholders
Facilitate the placement of women and girls in local small businesses for integrated vocational training
Develop and implement training modules animation and awareness-raising

 

 

Organize/supervise activities related to the care and support of victims/survivors of violence including GBV Write activity and monitoring reports with recommendations;
Prepare monthly planning of activities in consultation with project coordination;
Write minutes of meetings with beneficiaries or local stakeholders,
Ensure monitoring of technical and organizational activities •
Participate in multi-sectoral meetings organized in its area of ​​intervention;
Make ALDEPA and the project known in its area
Carry out any other task entrusted to it Design
tools, modules and other supports
Follow the monitoring-evaluation system of the indicators developed, Write training reports as appropriate,
Skills and abilities required
Capacity designing and writing educational tools;
Ability to identify signs of distress,
Good knowledge of animation techniques, training and working with vulnerable groups and with adolescents
Availability and commitment to the cause of vulnerable people;
Good knowledge of psychosocial care techniques
Good knowledge of the Gender approach and women’s rights
Demonstrate organizational and permanent research skills Knowledge of Fufuldé and/or a local language of the project areas constitutes an important asset; Mastery of computers ;
Hold a category A driving license

 

 

 

Level of studies and experience
Have a Social Affairs assistant diploma or a diploma in social sciences, or any other equivalent diploma
Have work experience of at least two years with children and adolescents in difficult situations
Previous experience in similar work is strongly sought.

They must contain the following parts.
