The Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCO) is looking for 01 Network and Telecommunications Engineer (M/F)
Position based in Douala (Cameroon) with periodic visits to the company’s sites.
As a Network and Telecommunications Engineer (M/F), you will report to the IT Infrastructure Supervisor within the Information Systems Department (DSI).
COTCO has a vast telecommunications system interconnected with that of Chad, which ensures remote monitoring and remote control of the Chad/Cameroon pipeline, real-time coordination of operations, collaboration between teams and optimization of shared resources.

Your main missions and responsibilities will consist of:
– Identify and analyze network and telecommunications needs,
– Configure, install, test and ensure the proper functioning of network and telecommunications equipment, systems and software – Implement security standards and network administration
– Check the quality of services provided by third parties (internet connection, dedicated links, configurations, repairs, cabling, technical documentation, etc.).
– Provide IT support to users in different locations.
The profile of the Ideal Candidate:
– Engineering degree or equivalent Bac + 5, in the field of Networks and Telecommunications.
– Minimum two (02) years of proven experience in a network administrator role.
– At a minimum, have a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
– Other certifications in Network Administration and Network Security would be a major asset.
– Practice of English (technical vocabulary) is required.
– Teamwork, rigor and organization, adaptability and flexibility.
