The Lutheran World Federation (LWF) is a global communion of churches of the Lutheran faith comprising 148 member churches in 99 countries around the world, with 77 million Christians. World Service represents the humanitarian and development service of the Federation whose actions are defined around three key areas: Livelihoods, Quality Services and Protection & Social Cohesion, which include transversal axes such as Climate Justice, Gender Justice and Advocacy for respect for Fundamental Rights.

 

 

 

The Lutheran World Federation has its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. It has been present in Cameroon since 2014 and operates mainly in the areas of livelihoods (Livelihoods), Education, Peace and social cohesion, Environment / Energy and, Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH); in four regions namely: the East, Adamaoua, the North and the Far North with a representative office in Yaoundé in the Center region.

As part of the new “Nature-Based Solutions – NBS” project with technical support from “Canadian Lutheran World Relief” (CLWR) and financial support from “Global Affairs Canada” (GAC), the FLM is recruiting:
Title of the position: Two (02) Logistics Assistants
Reporting to: Logistics Officer
Place of assignment: Kousseri
Duration of the contract: One year renewable depending on performance with 3 months of trial period.
Main objective of the position:
The Logistics Assistant supports the Logistics Officer in purchasing and supply management, stock management, goods and property management, management of the rolling vehicle fleet (cars and motorcycles), transport security of personnel and property, supervision of the garage and fuel stock.

 

 

 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

➢ Procure all materials and equipment ordered by projects in a cost-effective and transparent manner in accordance with the FLM Purchasing Manual.
➢ Ensure all orders are tracked from planning, requisition and final receipt.

➢ Prepare relevant documents for the purchase of goods and services, referring to the Logistics Officer.
➢ Participate in the evaluation of bids and proposals and ensure that the bid evaluation report, technical evaluation, negotiations and contract negotiated under the selection of consultants contain all the facts and information necessary to justify the recommendations made in The report.
➢ Participate in the preparation of contracts and contract amendments if necessary.
➢ Participate in the joint verification of goods and equipment purchased and verify the quantities and compliance of each element with the technical specifications under the control of the Logistics Officer.
➢ Oversee the use and maintenance of a database of all procurement activities for the project.
➢ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual supply reports which will be submitted to the Logistics Officer.
➢ Supervise Fleet/Asset/Driver functions just in case.
➢ Provide logistical support for program staff as needed.
➢ Provide data to monitor and evaluate the performance of overall logistics in support of programs.
➢ Coordinate the transport of goods, in accordance with budgets and program needs
➢ Coordinate the fleet and asset management according to FLM policy ➢ Master inventory management.
