JOB OFFER – CHP CARE and Health Program Cameroon: Program/Financial Assistant

As part of the execution of the Project “Develop, Implement, and Sustain Hight Quality Comprehensive HIV Cascade Activities for Children, Adolescent, and Adults, in Facility and community Based Setting in Cameroon under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in the regions of the West and the South West. CARE AND HEALTH PROGRAM is looking for a motivated and committed Candidate to be part of the HIV FREE project team.
Job title: “Program/Financial Assistant”
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Yaoundé
Contract: Fixed-term contract: 3 months trial – Extension after evaluation.
Under the direct authority of the Program Directors, the “Program/Financial Assistant” will have to perform the following

 




 

tasks:
1. Functions and responsibilities:
• Assist in the programmatic and financial management of the program and the production of programmatic and financial reports;
• Monitor and control the various expenditure procedures, in particular cash entries/exits for operations related to operations;
• Compile and review data from the field;
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports;
• Examine, process and prepare documentation relating to advances made to Field staff;
• Ensure that all partner contracts comply with grant and contract requirements;
• Prepare payroll processing for project staff;
• Maintain contractor tax records and manage correspondence and communications with the field
• Process cash bailout requests and supporting documentation for activity reports and other matters relating to the management of contractor activities field,
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with partners, donors and CHP
• Assist in the organization of central level accounting and monitoring of the execution of the project budget;
• Assist in managing the logistics management of the project (input management);
• Centralize and supervise payments to ASCs and providers;
• Archive contractual and relevant project documentation in paper and digital format;
• Carry out other tasks assigned to him by the Program Manager.

2. Job Profile:
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in management/accounting/Finance/Administration or an equivalent diploma;
• Have at least two years of professional experience in the programmatic and financial management of projects;
• Knowledge of Cameroonian regulations and international donors regarding public procurement;
• Good writing skills (activity report, financial report);
• Mastery of French and English languages;
• Knowledge of IT tools: MS-Word, Excel, Internet, etc.
• Experience with a donor’s financial management rules and procedures is an asset.

• Skills and Abilities: Interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team. The candidate must be able to plan, implement, monitor and advocate for programs and beneficiaries. Must have strong time management skills and be able to prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
