The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law  whose main mission is to improve the social situation of the Cameroonian population in a sustainable and measurable manner and to promote the health and prosperity of families. .  Thus,  ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its public and private sector partners to deliver high-quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For over twenty-five years, ACMS has provided the Cameroonian population with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria control, HIV and hepatitis control. among others.

The Cameroon Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) obtained funding from the “System to End the Malaria Burden Through Meaningful Engagement (SEMBE I)” of the United States Agency for Development (USAID) to support the National Program team Malaria Control Program (PNLP) to lead and implement evidence-based malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment services at regional and community levels, focusing on the Far East region. Northern Cameroon. This project also strengthens the Government’s capacity to guide and promote local solutions in the fight against malaria in line with the objectives of the Republic of Cameroon and in support of USAID priorities described in the cooperation strategy for development of the country 2020-2025 (CDCS).

Based in the Far North region, the project will implement a sustainable and evidence-based approach to the control and elimination of malaria, through four objectives:

– Objective 1  : Increase access and use of quality malaria diagnosis, insecticide-treated bed nets (ITNs), and drug-based prevention and treatment services at the facility and community level. the community.

– Objective 2  : Increase the adoption of prevention and treatment-seeking behaviors for malaria and other febrile illnesses

– Objective 3  : Improve access to quality data on malaria and their use.

– Objective 4  : Strengthen health systems to optimize planning, coordination and management of the local response to malaria and other febrile illnesses.

 

Your Contribution:

  • Provide support in the administrative management of the project;
  • Write administrative correspondence.
  • Ensure the circulation of official mail;
  • Carry out the recording and classification of the various documents received;
  • Support and monitor all project purchases;
  • Provide logistical support for the organization of project seminars and workshops;
  • Receive travel advance requests and supporting documents for activity expenses to submit them for signature;
  • Ensure the circulation of information, communicate with ACMS services and external partners;
  • Ensure logistics (reservation and travel);
  • Attend meetings and prepare reports and minutes.
  • Ensure that all bidding suppliers are ACMS approved;
  • Develop and regularly update procurement plans in accordance with ACMS and donor requirements;
  • Ensure that all purchase requests received are complete and properly approved;
  • Quickly prepare consultation files (notification of expression of interest, request for quotations, tender file, request for proposal, etc.) in accordance with applicable procedures;
  • Prepare, organize and coordinate bid opening and evaluation sessions;
  • Propose and implement tools to improve the execution of purchasing requests;
  • Prepare letters or purchase orders in the name of the selected supplier(s), ensuring, if necessary, correct imputation of project codes and lines;
  • Ensure compliance with the lessor’s requirements regarding the procurement procedure and local legislation;
  • Maintain proper filing of all project procurement documents and ensure materials are available and accessible as needed;
  • Participate in updating the list of suppliers and service providers in collaboration with the members of the purchasing committee in accordance with the procedures in force;
  • Maintain and update electronic files of equipment, materials and the automobile and motorcycle fleet;
  • Maintain inventory sheets for offices and materials made available to employees;
  • Perform any other task related to the activities assigned to you.

 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for  one (01) Administrative Assistant  (M/F)  who will embody the  ACMS values ​​listed below:

The basics :

  • University diploma:  BAC+2 in Administration, Executive Secretary or equivalent diploma;
  • Have professional experience of at least four (04) years in management secretarial work, administrative management, market/purchasing management, supply management or equivalent  in a development organization, an NGO, a project or a large company wingspan;
  • In lieu of the required diploma  : Have more than  five (5)  years of relevant professional experience in the field  in market management, administrative management, executive secretarial work or equivalent;

What would interest us?

  • Familiarity with NGOs;
  • Fluency in French and knowledge of English  ;
  • Good command of IT tools and software (Word, Power Point, Excel);
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government donor administrative policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated self-management (motivation, pressure management, adaptability) and ability to project a professional and consistent image of confidence, integrity and competence.
