(01) PROJECT DIRECTOR FOR THE SEMBE I PROJECT BASED IN MAROUA

Who are we ?
The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law whose main mission is to improve the social situation of the Cameroonian population in a sustainable and measurable manner and to promote health. Thus, ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its public and private sector partners to offer high quality health programs, reaching all populations in need, l)epujs more than twenty-five years, ACMS has been offering to the population Cameroonian comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria and HIV prevention among others, Join us! ACMS is seeking candidates to fill the
position of Project Director (Chièf Of Party) as part of the SEMBE II (Systems to End the Malaria Burden through MeaningfL11 EngagementIl) project in Cameroon, financed by IUSAID and planned for a period of five years. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of Government of Cameroon and local stakeholders to lead and promote local solutions in the fight against malaria.

 




 

Who are we hiring?
The Project Director has overall responsibility for leading and managing the project and is accountable for all outputs project deliverables and results. He has full responsibility and authority for the development, execution and monitoring of the project, particularly with regard to the vision and technical strategy, project management, documentation and communication, relations with clients and customers. stakeholders, as well as coordination and synergy with other ACMS projects.
Essential functions:
l. Provide leadership, strategic direction and management to ensure quality processes and outcomes of all project activities
Provide overall management and supervision of operational, technical, financial and administrative aspects of the project;
3. Serve as the main point of contact with the donor and ensure liaison between the donor, the Ministry of Health, the project implementing partners and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the project t, 4
, Ensure that the project tracks its progress and performance and achieves its objectives in accordance with the project monitoring and evaluation plan;
5. Lead the annual work planning, budgeting and reporting process (quarterly and annually) in accordance with USAlD rules and regulations;
6. Contribute to the knowledge management aspects of the project, including the collection and dissemination of lessons learned and best practices;

 

 

7. Supervise all management and project staff, and ensure capacity building of project staff as necessary
8. Ensure that the project is appropriately represented in high-level stakeholder meetings and in meetings national and/or regional technical working groups on malaria
9. Ensure that participatory and gender-sensitive processes are encouraged. Qualifications and skills required:
I. Doctorate in Medicine
2. Master in Health. public.
3. At least 10 years of progressive experience in managing malaria or other public health programs in Cameroon, including proven experience in financial and human resources management;
4. Proven experience managing complex projects of similar size ($45-30 million) encompassing a large geographic area and activities involving coordination with government and other stakeholders at all levels of the health system ;
5. Proven experience interacting and maintaining relationships with high-level stakeholders and representatives of the Government of Cameroon;
6. Proven leadership and experience in malaria programming, strategic planning, budgeting, management and supervision, monitoring and evaluation
Experience working with IJSAID is required;
8. Knowledge of the rules and regulations of I il.JSAlD will be an asset}
9, Knowledge of the region and the local language will be assets;
10. Strong management and problem-solving skills;
He. Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office software package, with particular experience in the use of Words, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer; 1 2 Fluency in French and professional fluency in English are required;
