The Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation whose mission is to catalyze our economic transformation by focusing on social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health and the implementation of progressive policies which, together , create economic opportunities for all.

The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation is looking for a Webmaster to take our current website to the next level, maintain the website, website functionality and servers to meet user needs. You will be responsible for making the sites user-friendly, very attractive and secure.

In this role, you must be thorough and be an excellent communicator. Balancing a creative eye with an analytical mind is essential. If you also have a strong technical background, we would love to have you on our team. Ultimately, you will ensure the functionality and efficiency of the web infrastructure.

This position will be based in Yaoundé.

Main responsibilities:

Create functional and easy-to-use
websites Proactively manage web applications and environments
Test websites on browsers, operating systems and devices
Maintain, configure and troubleshoot servers
Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages
Optimize speeds and load capacity
Debug pages and fix broken links or images
Update website content and revise SEO
Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g., site traffic, conversions)
Dealing with user complaints
Test websites on browsers, operating systems and devices
Monitor online traffic and conversions
Ensure functionality and effectiveness of site and website pages
Analyze, assess and resolve operational issues in a timely manner ; reviews process improvement trends
Reports project progress to management
Social media management

Terms

Proven experience as a webmaster or web developer
Advanced knowledge of web analytics and SEO
Familiarity with web standards
Experience in social media management Working
knowledge of website management tools
Proficiency in HTML/CSS, XML; knowledge of SQL and JavaScript is preferred. Strong troubleshooting  and
analytical skills  . Excellent  communication and teamwork  skills . BSc/BA in Computer Science, Design or related field is preferred
