The Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC) is recruiting a Data Manager for service needs as part of the APREC T-BIS project

Environment:
The Pasteur Center of Cameroon (CPC) is a public hospital establishment under Cameroonian law placed under the dual supervision of the Ministries of Public Health and Finance. Reference and public health laboratory, and member of the International Network of Pasteurs Institutes (RIIP). One of the main missions of the CPC is to contribute to strengthening disease surveillance with MINSANTE and MINEPIA through two actions: health monitoring and analysis of surveillance data.
Main mission: the data manager will be responsible for the administration, management and protection of data collected for the APRECIT-BIS project.
Main activities:
Design of Data Bases: Participate in the design, development and implementation of databases for epidemiology and public health projects; o Data Collection: Collaborate with research teams to design electronic data collection forms and ensure efficient and standardized data collection; o Management and Maintenance: Ensure the daily management of databases, including importing, updating, validating and regularly backing up data; o Performance optimization: Work to optimize database performance, ensuring their efficiency and integrity; o Data Security: Implement security protocols to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data;
Reports and Analysis: Generate periodic reports and assist researchers in extracting the data necessary for their analyses.
Profile sought
Training: Minimum degree in computer science, information management or any other equivalent diploma; o Professional experience: 02 years minimum in a similar position.
NB: significant experience in database management, ideally in the field of public health research would be an asset.
Technical and behavioral skills required:
Mastery of database management systems (SQL, MySQL, etc.) and tools; .related such as REDCAP, DHIS2, etc…
Ability to work independently and in a team; o Knowledge of best practices in data security and confidentiality; o Availability, rigor and Responsiveness, Curiosity, Speed, Organizational spirit; Ability to work independently and in a team.
