Call for applications – Accounting trainee

The Denis and Lenora Foretia Foundation  ‘s mission is to  catalyze Africa’s economic transformation  with a focus on social entrepreneurship, science and technology, innovation, public health and the implementation of progressive policies. which together create economic opportunity for all. 

The administrative department is recruiting a trainee accountant.

Main activities 

• process payment slips and make journal entries;
• compilation of monthly budgets and preparation of budget executions;
• CNPS & Declaration and payment of taxes;
• preparation of bank journals

• Submission of supporting documents;
• Facilitate all field payments during various activities (trainings, workshops, etc.).
• monitor project budget postings and ensure expenditures are within project budget; 
• Maintenance of office supplies and equipment;
• prepare the bank reconciliation at the end of each month.

• Document scanning  
• Other activities related to accounting;

Qualifications/skills required

• Accounting;
• Reporting skills;

• Attention to detail;
• Oriented towards deadlines;
• Privacy;
• Management of time.

Training and experience required

• Bilingual candidates (English and French) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team would be an advantage;
• Willingness to move to Yaoundé
