SUMMARY PRESENTATION OF THE STRUCTURE
SWAA is a pan-African NGO created in 1988 during the world

African women would carry out collective actions in the fight against AIDS, taking into
account our respective socio-cultural contexts.
This dynamic, initiated following the Stockholm conference and the
creation of the NGO SWAA, gave rise to the birth of SWAA Cameroun in
1990, and SWAA Littoral in 1991.
Initially located within the confines of the Laquintinie hospital in Douala, where it
mainly developed prevention activities, SWAA Littoral was
transferred in 2002 to its new comprehensive care center for
people living with HIV called “SON-NINKA Center” located on rue Foch
in Akwa district in Douala, and financed by SIDACTION.
Since June 2019, SWAA Littoral, thanks to the generosity of numerous donors
, has moved into its new premises, located in the Mbanga-Bakoko district, in
