Cameroon Mining Company is a leading iron ore producer in Africa. We are looking for a qualified and experienced Field Electrician to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment at our mine sites and facilities.
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, power, and control systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and communication systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions and breakdowns
- Inspect electrical systems and components to ensure safety and compliance with codes and standards
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and devices
- Test electrical systems and circuits using appropriate tools and instruments
- Document and report on work performed and materials used
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field electrician, preferably in the mining industry
- Experience working in a mine and handling mining equipment
- Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety regulations, such as OSHA, MSHA, and NEC
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and in harsh conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
