RECRUITMENT OF TEN DATA MANAGERS

Global Health Systems Solutions (GHSS)is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to finding innovative solutions to strengthen the health systems of developing countries for the effective delivery of services and surveillance of infectious, non-infectious and neglected tropical diseases. . We focus on three key areas: improving laboratory systems and services essential for disease management, surveillance and prevention, strengthening field surveillance and epidemiological training with populations concerned in animal and human health to reduce disease threats and improve service delivery at all levels of health. Our main collaborators include Ministries of Health,

 

 

We are currently looking for ten (10) qualified and experienced Data Managers as part of the implementation of optimal vaccination coverage against COVID-19 in Cameroon.

 

1- TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ATTRIBUTIONS

Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator and the direct supervision of the project manager and monitoring and evaluation officers, the post holder will:

–        Coordinate and collate all data related to COVID-19 vaccines in the assigned vaccination center;

–        Ensure the completeness and timeliness of the insertion of COVID-19 vaccine data as well as AEFI data;

–        Ensure that data on vaccination coverage and vaccine stocks are taken and monitored correctly by the target population;

–        Conduct detailed analysis of data collected to guide interventions to improve coverage using available databases including DHIS2, whenever possible;

–        Support COVID-19 vaccination coverage and provide use of data for planning and decision-making;

–        Support the preparation of data presentations using analyzed data and power point presentations;

–        Support the analysis of routine immunization data to guide interventions;

–        Support capacity building activities in data management;

–        Participate in any other activity related to the management of COVID-19 vaccine data as requested by the project manager;

–        Work closely with other GHSS team members to ensure harmony in the work and an appropriate flow of information on COVID-19 between team members.

 

 

2- CANDIDATE PROFILE

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

–        Demonstrate perfect knowledge and mastery of data management programs and processes (data quality, analysis and use techniques);

–        Ability to work independently, under pressure, without close supervision and deliver on time, excellent quality work;

–        Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team, including working with decision-makers and partners;

–        Good command of English and excellent verbal and written communication skills;

–        Have a good command of the computer tool;

–        Justify a professional experience of at least two (02) years in the field of data management or in a related field;

–        Having experience with international organizations would be an asset;

–        Hold a Bachelor’s degree in medical sciences or in a related field or equivalent professional training. A background in Public Health would be an asset.

–        Fluency in French would be an asset.

3-     PLACE OF ASSIGNMENT

Applicants must be willing to work anywhere nationwide .

 

 

4-     TYPE AND DURATION OF THE CONTRACT

Fixed-term contract of one (01) year renewable.

5- SALARY

The salary for this position is not only attractive but also negotiable.
