As part of the implementation of the activities of the Global Fund Project (GC7), in particular the operationalization of a Drop in-Center (DIC) in the city of Dschang, the GOLDEN YOUTH ORGANIZATION (GYO) is considering recruiting staff
I. Job Title: Physician (1)
Contract: Fixed-term contract
Occupancy rate: Part time
Place of assignment: Dschang
1. Required profile:
• Have a Advanced Level/BAC + 7, specifically a degree in medicine;
• Have professional experience of at least 02 years in the practice of medicine;
• Have a specialized diploma in proctology or hepato-gastroenterology or surgery as well as knowledge and experience of and with key populations would be assets;
• Be registered with the National Order of Physicians of Cameroon;
• Reside in the place of assignment.
2. Functions and responsibilities
Main mission: Responsible for all medical and paramedical activities to be carried out at the DIC
3. Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Provide medical consultations within the DIC
• Ensure that all patients are treated according to legal and generally available protocols and in particular for HIV / AIDS, STIs
and hepatitis;
• Ensure the management and treatment of cases of anal margin pathologies;
• Conduct clinical consultations with patients presenting symptoms;
• Carry out medical prescriptions for diseases detected;
• Create patient medical monitoring files and manage the related database;
• Guarantee the diagnosis and initiation of antiretroviral treatment, opportunistic infections and co-infections;
• Refer patients requiring psychosocial treatment;
• Ensure that the confidentiality of information relating to beneficiaries is respected;
• Guarantee the proper management of medical equipment and similar equipment;
• Promote hygiene, health and safety through biosecurity;
• Prepare reports, notes and periodic reports provided for in the context of its
activities;
• Participate in coordination meetings and any activity requiring its presence;
• Respect and enforce discipline;
• Carry out any other task within the scope of his activities, or assigned to him by the
hierarchy.
C- Composition of the file
•Updated CV with two (02) references;
• Cover letter with reliable telephone contact details and e-mail address addressed to the Executive Director of GYO;
• At least one letter of recommendation with contact details of reference persons,
• Photocopies of the Diploma(s) and/or certificates or any other document that can justify the level of experience.
