About WWF

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental organization founded in

1961 who works in the field of nature protection. Its mission is to conserve nature and

reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth. Our vision is to

build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. Thus, he seeks to: save the

planet by reconciling the needs of human beings with those of other species that share the Earth,

to practice human conservation in the broadest sense, to instill in people, wherever they are, a respect

Context :

The Congo Basin is the second largest rainforest in the world and home to a wealth

impressive fauna and flora, ranging from isolated species (elephant, rhinoceros, hippopotamus,

for the conservation of biodiversity due to its exceptional heritage and its high level

endemism (Colyn & Deleporte, 2004; Brooks et al., 2011; Dagalier et al., 2019).

These ecosystems have a common value today and across generations. However, the interest

increasing for the protection of its ecosystems comes up against the context of underdevelopment of countries,

weak governance and lack of funding. Almost two years ago, WWF’s regional office for

Africa has decided to strengthen the conservation program of the Congo Basin.

As we enter the development phase of the sub-regional strategic conservation framework, we

wish to recruit a highly experienced Strategic Communication and Advocacy Consultant Congo Basin to

design, plan and direct communication efforts at the sub-regional level, establish and maintain
