The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a global leader in the fight against pediatric HIV and AIDS, working in 19 countries and at over 5,000 sites around the world to prevent the transmission of HIV to children, and to help those already infected. Today, because of the highly successful work of the Foundation and its partners, pediatric AIDS has been virtually eliminated in the United States. With a growing global staff of over 3,100 — nine of 10 who work in the field—the Foundation’s global mission is to implement prevention, care, and treatment; further advance innovative research.

 



Purpose of the Job
The Consultant Data Clerk will be assigned to one site with the possibility to cover a set of sites within the Region. He/She will work under the guidance and supervision of the Strategic Information and Evaluation Officer. He/She will be primarily responsible for data abstraction from primary sources using smartphones or paper-based questionnaires. He/She will also ensure maintaining safety and confidentiality of the data abstracted according to the data management plan. He/She will collaborate with all frontline staffs including Site Lead, Nurses, APS, Data Clerk, Associate M&E officers, etc and  will ensure compliance with data management procedures in order to support complete and timely transmission of data through the server.

Key Responsibilities:
•    In collaboration with front line staff M&E and program staffs at site level, collect/abstract data for each eligible patient.
•    Ensure the daily entry of data into a digital questionnaire using an electronic data collection system as per SOPs.
•    Ensure organization and storage of paperwork after entering data and generate report.
•    Ensure data verification from source documents and make necessary corrections and updates when required.
•    Ensure the secured storage of data collection tools
•    Maintain a good relationship with collaborators and other staffs involved in the data collection process;
•    Ensure quality and timely completion of all activities;
•    Ensure diplomatic and proactive identification and solving of problem;
•    Carry out any other duties linked to data collection assigned by the supervisor.

 




Required Qualifications
•    Level: Bachelor degree or higher degree in public health or nursing;
•    Experience with COVID data entry and data management;
•    Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, be familiar with the use of digital data collection tools: ODK, ODKX, etc;
•    Language: bilingualism (French and English). However, be able to speak one language fluently and be proficient in the other language.
•    Other skills required include good interpersonal skills, availability, flexibility, be on time, be interested in public health, be rigorous and motivated.

Past Performance    Provide at least 3 professional references and files experience will be assessed.    15%
