CARING – INNOVATING – TOGETHER: Since its creation in 2009, ALIMA has treated more than 7 million patients, and today deploys its operations in 12 African countries. In 2019, we developed 41 humanitarian medical response projects to meet the needs of populations affected by conflict, epidemics and extreme poverty. All these projects support the national health authorities through nearly 330 health structures (including 28 hospitals and 300 health centres).

We work in partnership, including with local NGOs, whenever possible to ensure that our patients benefit from expertise where it is, whether at the level of their country or the rest of the world.
In addition, to improve the humanitarian response, we conduct operational and clinical research projects, particularly in the fight against malnutrition and viral haemorrhagic fevers. LIMA promotes and defends the principles of fundamental human rights.


ALIMA has a zero-tolerance approach towards people guilty of acts of gender-based and sexual violence as well as towards inaction in the face of alleged or actual acts of violence.
The protection of people benefiting and impacted by our intervention is our top priority in everything we do. Anyone collaborating with ALIMA undertakes to:
●Respect the charter, the code of conduct, institutional policies including the policy of protection against abuse of power and sexist and sexual violence, the policy of prevention of corruption and fraud;
●Report any violations of policies, framework documents and procedures to a supervisor, referee.
THE ALIMA TEAM: More than 2000 people currently work for ALIMA. The field teams, as close as possible to the patients, receive their support from the coordination teams generally based in the capital of the countries of intervention. They receive the support of the 4 desk teams and the emergency and opening service team based at the operational headquarters in Dakar, Senegal. The Paris and New York teams are actively involved in ALIMA’s fundraising and representation.
The rest of the ALIMA Galaxy includes individuals and partner teams who work on behalf of other organizations such as the medical NGOs BEFEN, ALERTE Santé, SOS Médecins/KEOOGO, AMCP, PACCI research organizations, INSERM, the Universities of Bordeaux or Copenhagen, the NGO Solidarités International and many others. ALIMA’s funding depends mainly on the trust of its institutional donors as well as the transparency of its administrative and financial logistics management procedures. The sexual and reproductive health supervisor defines and implements, for maternity wards and in collaboration with the referring doctor, the human, material and organizational resources necessary to guarantee the safety, continuity and quality of nursing care activities.
 
FUNCTIONAL AND HIERARCHICAL
LINKS He/she reports to the Referring Physician (hierarchical and technical manager).
He supervises the nurses, midwives and nursing assistants supported by ALIMA and collaborates with the MoH staff, the HRAM staff, the data manager and other project supervisors, the MOH doctors, the mental health supervisor, the project pharmacy manager, the project logistics team, the project administrator, the on-site partners, and other MOH members of the Mokolo health district.
Missions:
Improve the quality of preventive, promotional and curative care in Sexual and Reproductive Health through the implementation of national protocols and guidelines in Sexual Reproductive Health (CPN refocused, CPON, CPE).
Responsibilities
-Provide technical support to health centers for sexual and reproductive health activities;
-Strengthen the activities of the nutritional and promotional preventive package in SS;
-Strengthen the technical capacities of health care providers through formative supervision and direct support to health centers;
-Provide technical support to health centers in the promotion of hygiene and sanitation;
-Improve the availability and management of medical drugs and consumables, and other materials for Reproductive Health;
– Strengthen the health information system on the Sexual and Reproductive Health component.




Profile
-State diploma of midwife/Maieutician (Health Professional), Master in Reproductive Health;
-Excellent knowledge in sexual and reproductive health particularly on refocused prenatal consultation, postnatal consultation, childbirth and awareness raising on IYCF, family planning. Good knowledge of national care protocols and the use of SRH tools in Cameroon;
– Previous humanitarian experience preferred;
-Experience of I to 2 years as a midwife in a health institution;
-Have a motorcycle driver’s license.
