Missions and Responsibilities
General Objective
He/she is responsible for ensuring the general implementation of monitoring activities aimed at providing a response to protection/human rights cases affecting people in the area concerned, while respecting quality standards. from the program.
He/she supervises the daily work of protection monitoring teams, and helps them organize field visits to villages, camps and other urban settlements, assessing the level of security and facilitating access if necessary. .

Responsibilities
• In collaboration with protection monitors, participate in the development of protection monitoring methodologies and analyzes
• Alongside the Project Manager, coordinate day-to-day protection monitoring activities, including security and logistics • Facilitate access to crisis-affected communities and maintain harmonious and rewarding relationships with key stakeholders, including religious and traditional leaders
• Conduct regular participatory protection monitoring activities in the field, using an age, gender and diversity approach, to fully understand issues and priorities protection issues
• Encourage and facilitate discussion around key protection issues and possible protection responses within host and displaced communities
• In collaboration with the Protection Officer, build the capacity of Protection Monitors in areas of programmatic interest, such as: identification of protection cases, data collection methods, etc.;
• Identify, report and refer protection cases and provide information on the different types of assistance
• Present on a weekly and monthly basis the planning, reports and analyzes of activities
• Represent the organization during working groups on general coordination with donors, humanitarian actors and local authorities, when requested
Job requirements
Education – University degree in Social Sciences, Law, Sociology, Phychology or a related field
Experience –

– Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in the protection sector (including at least 1 year as a supervisor) Know the concept of protection monitoring
Have very good knowledge in other areas of protection (case management, psychosocial support activities, etc.)
Language –
–
– Proficiency in the local language: Arabic Choa, Fulfulde, Kotoko, Massa, Mousgoum (written and spoken)
Fluency in French (written and spoken). Fluency in English is an asset.
