COMPETITION FOR THE ENTREPRENEURIAL PROMOTION
OF YOUTH INNOVATION

Call for applications
As part of the celebration of the 3rd anniversary of the Youth Connekt Cameroon Program and the organization of the 2nd edition of the International Exhibition for the Promotion of Youth Entrepreneurship (SIPROME-Jeunes),

the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education (MINJEC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) are launching an international competition preceded by a Bootcamp for the recruitment of the best projects of young Cameroonians (15-35 years old) of both sexes.

A. CATEGORIES AND DOMAINS

Agropastoral Any project of an economic nature that relates to agricultural, animal, fishery production, etc.
Automation technology (Mechanization,
Robotics…) Any project of an economic nature which relates to the manufacture, assembly or transformation of equipment, machines or any other part ECONOMIC

ENTREPRENEURSHIP     circular economy (Renewable energy, Agro-ecology, Energy) Any project of an economic nature which consists of producing goods and services in a sustainable way by limiting the consumption and waste of resources and the production of waste.     digital economy (Digital Communication, Applications…) Any project of an economic nature that relates to software, communication, marketing

Transformative industry (Agro-food, Agro-industry, etc.) Any project of an economic nature that relates to the agri-food industry, cosmetics, pharmacopoeia, agro-industry, etc.
Craft industry and Forestry-wood All economic project which relates to areas such as Wood, Clothing industry, Tapestry, Shoemaking, Cabinetmaking,
Art ironwork, Florist, Sculpture, Engraving, Stone cutting, Metallurgy, Basketry,
Watchmaking, Hairdressing, Aesthetics CULTURAL
INDUSTRY     Mbolé (Dance, Music, Djembe) Here the artists practicing in the mentioned fields will compete each in his field in order to     Dance Patrimoniale        Chorale

• be an exhibitor on the SIPROME-Jeunes Site in order to better assess the different aspects of the project or product in competition;
• be the bearer of a mature, innovative and viable project in one of the areas mentioned above;
• Have never received support from
MINJEC/government (Business Challenge, PARSE, MINADER; PROTO Fund, etc.), or from a United Nations agency (UNDP; UNICEF; IFAD, etc.).
C. APPLYING
Young people wishing to apply must complete in one of the two official languages ​​of their choice (English or French) the form available in the decentralized structures of MINJEC or online on

The winners of the competition will benefit
from • funding for their projects through the Special Youth Triennial Plan and the Youth Connekt Cameroon program for a total amount of 50,000,000 (Fifty million) FCFA,

• incubation offers ,
• contacting potential investors
C. PROGRESS, DATE AND PLACE OF THE COMPETITION
The Youth Connekt Cameroon Cluster’s Challenge will take place in three main phases:
• PRESELECTION PHASE
It will take place online and on site for physical applications and will consist of interviews and video presentations. Various elements of evidence (photos; videos; publication link, administrative references etc. may be requested from the candidate if necessary. It will take place from November 01 to 25, 2022.
• FINAL PHASE
The final phase will take place from December 07 to 17, 2022 at Yaoundé City Hall It will have two main parts
I. The National Bootcamp
a 03-day national Bootcamp will be organized from December 08 to 2, 2022 in order to boost the skills of the various finalists in various areas necessary for the success of their businesses. The finalists will have the opportunity to talk during this Bootcamp with leading figures of economic entrepreneurship, company visits will also be organized. The attitude of the finalists during the bootcamp will also be evaluated and taken into account in the final marks.
2. The online vote an online vote of the various projects of the finalists will be organized from December 03 to 14, 2022. The online vote represents the final score.
3. The final evaluation
The final evaluation will take place from December 12 to 15, 2022 in hybrid mode (online and face-to-face). Finalists will be evaluated on:
I . The animation of their stand during the SIPROME-Jeunes
2. The innovation of the project;;;
3. The level of maturity of the project
4, The number of jobs currently generated and those to come ;;;
5. Presentation of the project;
6. The sustainability of the project and its level of profitability;
7. Moral, civic and entrepreneurial rearmament during bootcam sessions.
  INVESTORS
DINNER The catalog of finalist projects of the Youth Connekt Cameroon Cluster’s Challenge (Pressbook Youth Connekt Cameroon
Cluster’s Challenge) will be sent to the various investors at
start of the final. a meeting between the finalists and potential investors is scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Palais de Congrès in Yaoundé. It will be a question for the finalists during this dinner to pitch in front of the investors to further sell their projects which are presented in the Pressbook Youth Connekt Cameroon Cluster’s Challenge The winners of the competition will also be announced during this dinner.
C. OTHER INFORMATION
Applicants must offer products or services that meet social needs; technological, economic and which contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations and which are in line with the axes of the National Development Strategy 2030 (SND30).
