JOB
OBJECTIVE Prepare meals and maintenance of the kitchen in particular and the Guest House in general.

More specifically, he/she will:

Objective 1: Purchase the products needed to prepare meals:

Activities:

• Establish a shopping list to do according to the menu of the day;
• Assess fuel needs and monitor consumption;
• Make purchases for the preparation of meals according to the envelope received;
• Control the quality of food.

Objective 2: Prepare meals for the house team: 

Activities:

• Prepare meals in accordance with hygiene rules;
• Clean, disinfect and fill water filters.

Objective 3: Maintain all the equipment of the kitchen and the guest house in general

Activities:

• Washing dishes;
• Clean and disinfect refrigerator once a week;
• Wash equipment and kitchen daily after use;
• Ensure the maintenance of the guest house.

Diploma/Experience

• At least CEP and Diploma in cooking or equivalent professional experience;
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a similar position;
• Experience with humanitarian NGOs would be an asset.

Skills required

• Know: Good hygiene skills – Ability to read and/or write French or English.
• Know-how: Cooking skills (quality and diversity of meals)
• Good interpersonal skills – Integrity-sense of organization – communication skills
