Created in 1979, Action contre la Faim is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by ending hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, especially during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Care Practices, Gender and Protection – Food Security and Livelihoods – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. In 2019,www.actioncontrelafaim.org

 

 

 

Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection (SMSPP) in Cameroon: impacted by different crises, Cameroon encounters different challenges in MSPPS. Department initiated in 2020, the SMSPP teams are present in the Far North as well as in the South West and soon in the East by offering different therapeutic approaches. The research dimension is also important within current programs. The next challenges will mainly concern the development of lines of thought to guide national action plans with a view to helping health systems provide adequate responses to the problems related to PPMS. YOUR JOB AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

 

– You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, relevance and scaling up of the SMSPP strategy and interventions on the mission, in compliance with ACF and international standards and national policies. More specifically, you will be required to: – Contribute to the definition of the country strategy, and to the definition of the strategy and positions of the SMSPP technical department – Coordinate the identification of needs and the formulation of project proposals, – Support the implementation and ensure the reporting of programmes/projects, – Guarantee the quality and accountability of projects, – Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sector coordination, technical platforms and develop sector partnerships , – Promote the capitalization, development,

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

– University degree in psychology or degree in social sciences accompanied by proven experience in positions of coordination of programs focused on mental health and protection, – Experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of projects and in facilitating groups of work / steering committees, – Knowledge of care practices and basic facilitation techniques – Experience in program data analysis. – Sense of confidentiality – Mastery of protocols for psychological care and psychosocial support, psychological first aid and emotional stabilization – Ability to propose and manage the implementation of appropriate protocols – Excellent ability to use the tool computer science. – Communication, listening skills and

YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

 

 

 

– 4.5 months of fixed-term contract under French law (with possible extension) – Gross monthly starting salary of 2450 to 2800 EUR depending on experience – Per diem and monthly living expenses: 551EUR (see eurocost ) net, paid on the ground. – Monthly context allowance: EUR 150 – Child allowance: EUR 1,500 per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of EUR 6,000/year) – 16% of gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens. – Transport and accommodation: Support for travel and collective accommodation – Medical cover: 100% of the payment of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance – Leave and RnR: 25 days per year, 20 RTT per year and 215EUR paid during the recovery period – Training:
