The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law whose main mission is to improve in a sustainable and measurable manner the social situation of the Cameroonian population and to promote health. Thus, ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its partners in the public and private sectors to offer high-quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For more than twenty-five years, ACMS has been providing the Cameroonian population with comprehensive and evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria and HIV prevention among others.

ACMS is looking for candidates (M / F) to carry out the missions of Accountant within ACMS.

What are we recruiting?

The Accounting Consultant will have the overall responsibility of providing support to the Finance team at headquarters in terms of the activities of the service.

Essential missions:

Ensure better traceability of accounting documents generated in transit or definitively received by the accounting department;
Ensure rigorous control of supporting documents;

Ensure the completeness of the platform’s accounting document entries;
Analyze and justify the accounts in order to provide a true and reliable picture of the financial statements;
Ensure compliance with accounting procedures within the platform;
Ensure the proper physical and digital archiving of accounting documents;
Analyze and justify account balances;
Coordinate and produce periodic financial reports on time (reconciliation of cash accounts, cash closings, stock inventories, production of annexed statements, etc.);
Participate in internal and external audit work

Supervise accounting work in the various regional offices to ensure the harmonization of accounting and financial practices within the platform.

Qualifications and skills required:

Have a degree of at least Bac + 3 in Accounting, Finance, Management Control;
Have at least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in Accounting, Finance, Management Control;

Have a good command of the computer tool (accounting software, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAGE would be an asset;
Have a perfect knowledge of the OHADA system and particularly that relating to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs);
Have a good command of third-party accounting and treasury;
Be able to analyze balance sheet accounts;
Be able to work in multitasking mode;
Be able to work under pressure;
Have good organizational skills;
Have a high sense of teamwork;
Be proactive and proactive;
Be of absolute integrity and have a sense of responsibility
