Africa Eye Foundation (AEF), is recruiting Nursing Assistants
Africa Eye Foundation (AEF), is recruiting 02 Nursing Assistants for its Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI) hospital, in Obak, on the road to Okola located about 10 km from Yaoundé.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking parameters, taking intraocular pressure, blood pressure and visual acuity.
- Participate in education, information and communication activities in the clinic.
- Enter patient data into the hospital’s digital database
- Organize patient records and distribute them to different ophthalmologists and refractionists.
- Refer all patients and visitors during their hospital stay.
- Assist the doctor during the consultation
- Assist with surgical and clinical procedures
- Ensure that patient information is well filled in their various records.
- Work in collaboration with the Medical Record on the management of patient records.
- Ensure daily that the diagnosis and other parameters of patients are recorded in the digital patient database.

PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES
- Have a Nursing Assistant Diploma
- Have basic computer skills (Word and Excel)
- Having knowledge of ophthalmology is an added advantage.
- Be Ready to Learn
- Excellent ethics
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ professional experience
- Strong communication and patient management skills
- Be Bilingual (English and French)
