Africa Eye Foundation Cameroon (AEF), is recruiting an Assistant Laboratory Technician
Africa Eye Foundation Cameroon (AEF), is recruiting01 Assistant Laboratory Technician for its Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI) hospital in Obak, on the road to Okola located about 10 km from Yaoundé.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and label patient samples.
- Prepare reagents and dyes
- Clean laboratory surfaces and prepare equipment by ensuring that the workspace is organized.
- Perform laboratory tests and archive results under the supervision of the laboratory technician.
- Must be comfortable working with hazardous materials and must comply with all health and safety rules.
- Work in collaboration with the Senior Laboratory Technician.
- Demonstrate loyalty and teamwork both within the laboratory and in other departments.
- Communicate patient outcomes and guide other units.
PROFILE
- Have a medical laboratory assistant diploma from a public institution or a recognized private institution
- Be able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office Word, Excel or similar software
- Have at least 2 years of professional experience
- Be Bilingual (English and French)
- Have a willingness to learn
