Africa Eye Foundation Cameroon (AEF), is recruiting 02 Drivers for its Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute (MICEI) hospital in Obak, on the road to Okola located about 10 km from Yaoundé.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance and management of vehicles in compliance with the vehicle use policy of Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute.
- Clean the vehicle and perform routine checks to ensure it has the proper work tools on a daily basis.
- Refuel the vehicle using a fuel card and record it on the vehicle registration form within the specified time frame in accordance with the vehicle operating policy.
- Park the vehicle safely in the designated location at the end of each working day, no later than 6 p.m.
- Ensure that official authorization from the administration is obtained for travel outside approved official hours.
- Ensure that vehicle movements and mileage are properly recorded in the vehicle’s logbook in order to maintain and track vehicle movements without any vehicle hijackings being reported.
- Inform the director of the establishment and the purchasing department at least two months before the expiry date of the documents relating to the vehicles (insurance, technical inspection certificate, etc.) so that they can be renewed without questions from Road Safety and the police.
- Report immediately to the administration, all accidents or problems involving vehicles of Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute.
- Comply with the provisions of the motor vehicle and travel policy of Magrabi ICO Cameroon Eye Institute.

PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES
- Know the safety techniques in defensive driving (will be tested)
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have basic skills in automotive mechanics
- Have a good knowledge of the rules of the road
- Be patient, adaptable, flexible, able to improvise and remain responsive under pressure
- Good interpersonal competence and team spirit
- Having experience in the NGO sector would be an advantage
