On December 31, 2024, during his address to the Nation, the Head of State of Cameroon announced a measure that marks a decisive turning point in the public health sector. At the heart of the priorities to improve the living conditions of Cameroonians, the President ordered the recruitment of 9,444 healthcare personnel over a period of five years . This initiative aims to strengthen the Cameroonian healthcare system while offering employment




opportunities to many young graduates.

A recruitment covering all key healthcare professions

This special recruitment concerns a wide range of healthcare professions, ensuring an appropriate response to the specific needs of different regions of the country. The healthcare professions concerned include:

  •  General practitioners and specialists: To fill the deficit of practitioners in hospitals and improve access to specialized care.
  •  Registered nurses: Responsible for basic care, patient support, and treatment administration.
  •  Medical laboratory technicians: To strengthen diagnostic and screening capabilities in health centers.
  •  Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians: Essential for the management and dispensing of medications.
