In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2023, under the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, the Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Africa is inviting women, who are willing to gain basic computer and fascinator skills to apply for a short-term free training.
According to the UN Women, the theme for this year aligns with the priority theme for the upcoming 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW-67), “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls”.
To promote women’s inclusion in technological development, CHRDA will be organizing a short-term intensive training program on basic computer and fascinator skills in Buea, the South West Region of Cameroon.
The focus for basic computer skills will be on Microsoft office (Microsoft word), How to use mails, online applications etc
Selected Women will be trained at the Cameroon Institute of Technology and CHRDA’s Empowerment Centre, located at the CHRDA building in Bonduma-Buea.

 

 

 

 

Criteria
1) Applicant must be able to read and write (IT)
2) Applicant must be a vulnerable/IDP women willing to Economically Empowered (Fascinator)
3) Applicant must live in Buea and be ready to take care of her transport to and from the training center.

4) Submit a hand written application and a copy of your national Identification card at CHRDA’s main office at Biaka’s Residence street, Bonduma. For more information call 677084410
