As part of the consolidation of our teams and to support our ambition, we are
actively recruiting an experienced Audit Mission Director / Manager, a true conductor
of his projects, for our portfolio of clients in the Oil & Gas sector (Exploration, Production,
Oil Services).
II- The missions of the position
As an Audit Mission Director / Manager specializing in the Oil & Gas sector, you will be
a pillar of our team and will have the following main responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise statutory (Audit) and
contractual audit missions with major players and subcontractors in the oil and gas sector:
Define the audit strategy specific to the O&G sector, assign tasks and monitor
progress in real time via our integrated ERP, interacting directly with your
teams in the tool.
• Supervise, train and develop the audit teams working on your missions,
developing their specific sector expertise: Visualize the workload and
availability for optimal planning and allocation, coaching
employees and promoting a culture of technical and behavioral Excellence.
• Manage client relationships at a strategic level: Understand in depth their
business models, their sectoral challenges and embody VINKA’s Commitment to their
satisfaction (e.g. Production Sharing Contracts – CPP / PSA) and ensure their
satisfaction.)
• Guarantee the technical quality of audit work in accordance with
professional standards (ISA, local standards) and recognized practices in the O&G sector.
• Analyze sector-specific risks (price volatility, geological,
environmental, contractual risks) and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
• Master and apply the relevant accounting standards (revised SYSCOHADA, IFRS) and their
complex application in the O&G sector (IFRS 6 Exploration and Evaluation,
revenue recognition, decommissioning provisions, accounting for oil costs, etc.).
• Actively participate in the business development of the Audit Practice: identification
of opportunities, preparation of commercial proposals, participation in
client presentations.
• Interact with other VINKA Practices (Tax, Consulting) to propose solutions
adapted to the challenges of the sector.
III- Candidate profile
• Graduate of a major business school, engineering school, or a postgraduate degree
in Finance/Accounting/Audit. A Chartered Accountant diploma is a major asset.
• You have proven experience of at least 6 to 8 years (minimum) in external auditing,
acquired imperatively within an international audit firm (“Big 4” or similar).
• You have solid, demonstrated and specific experience in auditing companies in the
Oil & Gas sector (operators and/or service companies).
• Excellent command of auditing standards (ISA) and applicable accounting standards
(revised SYSCOHADA, IFRS), with in-depth knowledge of
accounting standards and practices specific to the O&G industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex missions in a demanding environment, to
supervise teams and to develop high-level client relationships.

• Excellent project management skills, demonstrated by your ability to:
o Operationally manage complex missions (assignment, follow-up).
o Manage resources optimally (planning, allocation via tools).
o Ensure rigorous financial monitoring (sales cycle, profitability, key indicators).
o Master integrated management tools (ERP).
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, rigor, autonomy and excellent
organizational skills.
• Natural leadership, team spirit and excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
• Perfect command of French and very good level of English (written and oral) imperative.
• You are results-oriented, proactive and have good commercial sense.
• You wish to fully invest yourself in the development of a growing structure
and actively contribute to its success in a stimulating post-transition context
.
