To carry out these data collection activities, Averty Market Research Monitoring would like to shortlist a “Pool” of data analysts with the required qualifications and experience who will be registered in a database and could be offered permanent or temporary contracts to carry out data collection and participate in its analysis. 

Averty Market Research Monitoring is an international data collection firm that aims to be the world leader in the collection and preservation of economic, food security and nutrition data to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs for a world where every man, woman and child has permanent and sufficient access to healthy and varied food to lead a healthy and active life.

The frequency of armed conflicts, epidemics, and natural disasters that have struck the countries of the Sahelian strip, as well as chronic poverty and market instability, have led to the progressive deterioration of people’s livelihoods. In addition, adequate access to basic social services has been limited due, inter alia, to a lack of resources and growing insecurity due to armed groups. In this context, Averty Market Research Monitoring and its partners are implementing a strategic plan to support people in fighting poverty and food insecurity, and improving nutrition and building resilience.
AMRM plans to carry out regular data collection activities to inform key indicators (household income, food consumption, consumption strategies, perceptions of assistance… etc….)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in trainings on data collection tools;
• Collect data from households and children for the monitoring of SA indicators;
• Regularly collect market data from market players (traders, collectors, Market Management Committee, etc.) and farmers (GIC, Cooperative, family farm…)
• Collect data from key informants and contacts;
• Transmit data to line managers;
• Collect data from target groups (young people, women people with specific needs  etc.)
• Use recommended tools and apps in data collection

REQUIREMENTS

• Level of study: minimum BAC
• Language: Fluency in French and knowledge of the local language of the place where the surveys are conducted.

Computer knowledge:

• A good command of mobile survey techniques (ODK, MODA.

Experience:

• Experience (at least one survey in the last 2 years) in collecting data by smartphone or tablet.
• Surveys in food security and nutrition would be an asset.
• Be a permanent resident in a State concerned by the investigation.
