Become a Youth Ambassador and Sustainable Futures Advisor for British Youth Council and WWF-UK

The British Youth Council and WWF-UK are seeking 26 young people from across the UK to become Youth Ambassadors and Sustainable Futures Advisors. Whether you care deeply about our natural world or have an interest in the future of work, we want to hear from you!

About the roles

  • WWF-UK Youth Ambassadors (aged 13-17) – We want youth voices to be at the heart of WWF-UK. We are inviting 12 young people to join the Youth Ambassador programme for between 1-3 years. Within your role as Youth Ambassador, you will be supported to work alongside WWF to co-create exciting campaigns, projects, and events. If you are passionate about caring for our planet, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

  • Sustainable Futures Youth Advisory Group (aged 14-18) – we’re seeking 14 young people to help shape WWF-UK’s Sustainable Futures programme. Meeting monthly for the next 18 months we want this group to act as advisors and bring fresh ideas to this new project. You don’t need to be passionate about the environment to do this role, but you will be keen to share your perspectives and experiences with us – and be interested in skills, jobs and the future of work and careers.

Successful applicants are expected to be in post by March 2023!

About WWF

We’re WWF, the global environmental charity, and we’re bringing our world back to life. With nature in freefall, we’re urgently tackling the underlying causes that are driving the decline – especially the food system and climate change. And we’re finding solutions so future generations have a world with thriving habitats and wildlife.

It’s a huge challenge, but there is hope. We’re working globally with governments, companies, communities, and others who have the will to act and the power to transform our world. We’re using our ground-breaking scientific research, our global influence, and the backing of our many supporters to make sure the natural world’s vital signs are recovering by 2030.
