The Pari Mutuel Urbain Camerounais (PMUC) is a prominent horse racing betting company based in Douala, Cameroon. Established in 1992 by Michel Tomi and Jean-Pierre Tosi, PMUC has grown to become one of the largest private employers in the country. The company operates a network of around 1,500 kiosks and 40 agencies across Cameroon
PMUC offers a variety of betting options, including horse racing, sports betting, and lotteries. The company is known for its distinctive pink kiosks and its free publication, “Le Turf” PMUC’s activities are primarily focused on horse racing, with most of the races taking place in France.
The company has played a significant role in job creation and contributing to the state’s budget. PMUC’s headquarters are located near the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral in Douala
