CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: 10 POSITIONS TO BE OPENED
WITHIN AJEF-CAMEROON

AJEF-Cameroon is recruiting volunteers: Set up to provide
young and innovative solutions to current and future land issues facing
Cameroon, Africa and the World, AJEF-Cameroon is a non-
profit association which is looking for young volunteer leaders who want to get involved in
improving this cause and participating in collective well-being. If you share this
passion and if you are ready to become an essential actor in social transformation,

1. LIST OF 10 POSITIONS TO BE FILLED
In accordance with its statutes (article 10), the Association of Young Experts on
Land Issues in Cameroon aims to:
– Supervise the youngest in the writing of their
academic work and increase production scientific on issues
related to land;
– Raise awareness and assist communities on legislative texts relating to
land and the different possibilities for securing their
land assets;
– Develop simplified guides for use by communities on their
rights to compensation within the framework of
concessions;
– Contribute to the realization of state projects and economic operators
, through responsible use of land and
improvement of access to land by local residents;
– Support Decentralized Territorial Communities (CTD) in
the development of spatial planning plans; – Support local and indigenous communities in conducting
advocacy related to land issues;
– Support local actors in improving
community participation in land governance with a view to boosting
local development;

 



 

– Support communities in the development of
participatory maps in the preparation of land advocacy.
In order to achieve these objectives, focal points under the direction of a
coordinator are recruited within AJEF-Cameroon and their specifications
determined. Focal points produce monthly activity reports
carried out within their respective regions and transmit them to the
General Secretariat. The positions to be filled are:
▪ Far North Region Focal Point;
▪ Northern Region focal point;
▪ Adamaoua Region focal point;
▪ Eastern Region focal point;
▪ Littoral Region focal point;
▪ Western Region Focal Point;
▪ Focal point North-West Region;
▪ Focal point South-West Region;
▪ Central Region focal point;
▪ Southern Region focal point.
2. REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Hierarchical reporting: Coordinator of focal points
Duration of mandate: 02 (two) years, renewable 01 (one) time

Coordinator of focal points Functional relations Experts, Consultants and Specialists of AJEF Cameroon in their respective functions.
Missions
▪ Represent AJEF-Cameroon to institutions, organizations, national
and international NGOs, personalities, etc. of their respective Region;
▪ Help search and identify Notices of Expression of Interest (AMI), Call
for Tender Files (DAO) and Notices of Call for Application for Projects (AAP), projects
and all other activities launched or likely to be carried out in its
respective Region;
▪ Work on the physical submission of service offers made by AJEF-Cameroon
in its respective Region;
▪ Help identify strategic partners for financing or
supporting AJEF-Cameroon projects and programs;
▪ Follow up AJEF-Cameroon files until their opening and final
selection decision;

 




 

▪ Coordinate the necessary lobbying and advocacy in the Region and with
our partner relationships and useful personalities for the successful completion of the files
submitted for application under the direction of the Executive Office of AJEF-Cameroon;
▪ Facilitate the proper flow of information to the Executive Office;
▪ Effectively manage the affairs and files of AJEF-Cameroon with an eye
towards its hierarchical manager;
▪ Maintain a good working relationship with partners and all other
stakeholders in the association;
▪ Ensure the protection of the association’s image.
▪ Make available the report of no more than two (02) pages of the work of
negotiations carried out at the end of each quarter (Each 03 months) of the year
and append the partner documents. Here, the President and Rapporteur
of the Regional Focal Points team takes care of it. Said quarterly report
is transmitted to the General Secretariat by the FOCAL POINTS Coordinator
(member of the Executive Office) of AJEF-Cameroon
EVALUATION CRITERIA
▪ Have at least a Bac + 3 or more;
▪ Good capacity to adapt and coordinate activities and tasks related to
advocacy and lobbying efforts in their respective Region;
▪ Ability to seek advice from management;
▪ Good mastery of the intervention plan of the year (Action Plan of the year) of
the association and its practical execution towards its targets and partners;
▪ Mastery of the principles of Results-Based Management (GAr);
▪ Good mastery of the values ​​and principles of AJEF-Cameroon;
▪ Ability to work under pressure and report;
▪ Good mastery of writing internal or external communication documents
(press release, minutes, report, letters, minutes, etc.);
▪ Mastery of ICT and social networks (whatsapp, Facebook, linkedin, etc.);
▪ Good command of English or French expression;
▪ Permanently reside in the requested work region;
▪ Strong mastery of notions on the land theme; ▪ Good mastery of the local land context and the different actors involved
in its management
3. CONSTITUTION OF THE FILE
• Cover letter addressed to the President of the AJEF;
• Request addressed to the President of AJEF;
• Up-to-date CV dated and signed with three professional references
• Photocopy of the required diploma;
• Photocopy of the National Identity Card;
• Any document justifying years of experience as a focal point or
any other similar functions.
