Who are we ?

The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS), member of the PSI network  is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law  whose main mission is to improve in a sustainable and measurable way the social situation of the Cameroonian population and to promote health and family prosperity.  Thus,  ACMS works in cooperation with the government and its public and private sector partners to deliver high quality health programs, reaching all populations in need. For more than twenty-five years, ACMS has provided the people of Cameroon with comprehensive, evidence-based public health interventions, including programs in reproductive health, malaria, and HIV prevention among others.

The Cameroonian Association for Social Marketing (ACMS) is a non-governmental organization under Cameroonian law and a member of the Population Services International (PSI) Network since 1996. ACMS is recognized as being one of the main actors in Cameroon in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and family planning promotion through social marketing and behavior change communication. ACMS is a complex organization with multiple projects and donors and a wide range of products and services, including a social franchising project with 372 clinics within the network.

 

 

 

Your contribution:

  • Assist the internal audit department in carrying out audit missions according to the annual audit program;
  • For each mission, carry out tests and document them according to the defined worksheets;
  • Evaluate policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvement;
  • Identify control weaknesses and areas of actual or potential non-compliance in accordance with ACMS/PSI and donor requirements;
  • Follow up on the implementation of recommendations from internal and external audits as well as resolutions of the Board of Directors;
  • Assist the audit team in conducting inquiries and investigations into suspected fraud in accordance with ACMS/PSI guidelines and in collaboration with GIA;
  • Support the Executive Management in promoting ethics and integrity;
  • Provide support to PSI for capacity building and audits of other PSI platforms;
  • Assist in the coordination of internal audit assessments performed by PSI’s Global Internal Audit team;
  • Assist the Director of Internal Audit in managing relations with external auditors and the internal control team;
  • Monitor the institution’s financial performance and management control indicators;
  • Ensure the independent control of stock inventories as well as the institution’s assets;
  • Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.

The basics :

  • Diploma required  : Hold a Bacc + 4/5 diploma in Accounting-Management-Audit/Finance, or another recognized equivalent academic diploma.
  • Experience: Have at least five (5) years of proven experience in auditing in a non-governmental organization or in a private company. Experience in auditing donor projects would be an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience of international NGO systems.
  • Familiarity with donor procedures such as: USAID, Global Fund, UNITAID, EU, KFW, UNFPA.
  • In substitution of the required diploma  : Have  fifteen (15) years  of professional experience in the field  of finance and NGOs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of USAID policies and procedures, including administrative, reporting, and management policies.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Have in-depth computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Have experience in team management  ;
  • Have strong problem-solving skills;
  • Have a good ability to plan and foresee potential and emerging obstacles;
  • Have the ability to establish strong public relations and be comfortable communicating in a team; Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Have a high level of autonomy at work, but with a deep team spirit;
  • Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision within a multicultural team;
  • Demonstrate adaptability, patience, ingenuity, resilience and flexibility.
  • Have results-based management skills;
  • Be available to carry out regular field missions.

 

What would interest us?

  • Familiarity with social marketing and/or NGOs;
  • Have very in-depth knowledge of internal audit procedures and good knowledge of accounting and finance;
  • Analytical skills and a very strong sense of detail;
  • Good knowledge of data analysis techniques for audit,
